Bolar, a fellow lions supporter, firstly there will never be a side quite like the lions of 2001, isn't it great to know you've barracked for the best side in AFL history?

 

All just my opinion obviously but the hawks are and will never be that great. Carlton in 2 years will come the closest to the lions of 2001. The hawks lack a great midfield. Sewell, Mitchell, Hodge are good but will never be great. The cats have an 6-8 man midfield that could all start All Australian on their day.

 

BOL mate but I'll be putting good money and think the cats will win by at least 4-5 goals.

Yeah I know there won't be a team like Brisbane of 01 - 03. But what I'm saying is that Hawks are in the same position as Brisbane. Coming up against the Reigning premiers who have dominated and having class themselves.

 

I do see Hawthorn, however, winning 3 of the next 4 or 5 grand finals.

 

People are saying Geelong are better than Brisbane, but no one will ever shape a team as good as Michael, Leppitsch, Johnson, Voss, Black, Lappin, Akermanis, Hart, Aschcroft, Bradshaw, Brown, Lynch, McRae, Pike, Scott Brothers, White.

 

It's great to know I barrack for the best side in history, but I do believe Hawks won't be as great as us, but will dominate the competition in the next 4 years.
