Apart from the mighty Richmond teams have been fighting out games not wanting to get thrashed in round 1. Hawthorn, West Coast and Sydney pulled big deficits back in the fourth quarter to lose by fairly respectable margins.
Melbourne have suggested they will be more competitive in the preseason. My feeling is NM will drop back with their retirements. Think Melbourne will keep this close.
Think Port will win comfortably given Essendon have some players missing but reckon Essendon are a decent chance to keep it under 40.
Reportedly Fremantle showed a bit in the preseason and have some impressive young players but they would need to be to cover the half a dozen players who have been given every chance but haven't really suggested they belong in the AFL: Bradley, Tarrant and Murphy for example.
On paper WB look way more talented to me.
