Vegas - over and Why

Haven't posted in the NHL forum in quite a while, but very engaged with it.    Let's look at some numbers:

-102   Caro.     14   

5.5     Vegas    25

Caro opened up as - 102 fav (madduxsports.com)  currently -110 for each team.   Over Under line is 5.5  .      Based on a variety of sources and my own methodology - I give Carolina 14 and Vegas 25 - lower the better on paper.    

When I look up games with -102 line for the away team - there's been 1 playoff game between Dallas and Minn - similar scenario and Minn took it 2-5 and there was a regular season game with a line of 102 for the away team and the home team took it 3-6.    This line doesn't show up much - I'm riding it and taking the following:

1. Vegas -110   

2. Parlay  Vegas -110 to Over 5.5    pays 2.39 to 1  smaller play

3. Vegas -1.5    +200   small alternative play

 Thanks - Crazy game - glad it worked out.  Feeling the altern. puckline had a chance when it was 0-4  - oh well.
