There is not 1 player on this team that if Canadian would make our team, and about 75% of them would not even make Canada's 2nd team (that would feature Lecavalier, Stamkos, Tavares, St.Louis, Carter, Phanuef, Bouwmeester, Weiss, Green, Burrows, any of the other Staal's, Sharp, Campbell, Del Zotto, Fisher, Pominville, Roy, Penner, Smyth, the list goes....
I dont care that you won a meaningless game when we wee trying to find our lines and to see if a rusty Brodeur could turn it around..
No doubt Canada rolls..no doubt, I heard all the same US garbage in 2002 and we rolled, this time our team is better and at home..pack it in bandwagon jumpers and dont worry when you lose you can go back to pretending you dont care about silly hockey

Your cooked and I have no doubt in my mind, if you honestly think Canada is the same team you played last Sunday you simply do not understand the game, the adjustments, the comfort level building with the lines..and that should scare you considering we out shot you, had more possessions, more faceoffs etc.
It is over, just like in 2002 you will get rolled, book it

I never would of expected this from a guy from Ontario with BlueJayz as his handle......
If Luongo plays like he did tonight in the third period your boys are going to need to put up at least 5 on Miller to have a shot.
We'll have to wait and see
ur a blackhawk fan and canada has 3 key players from your team. u should already know that your chi blackhawk team sucks ass in goal. yet they are still a stanley cup favs. how is that? certainly not goaltending. scoring goals and having a blue line with steady cdn boys like seabrook and keith are the reasons why. u of all ppl should know that goalies don't have to be outstanding to win the big one

Against Ryan Miller they might have to. And if the first game was any indication..Luongo will have to be perfect or close to it.
At the same time...if Canada plays the exact same game like they did last Sunday vs the US, I will take my chances and say Canada will win.

Zajac has 51 points and a +19 and nowhere near making team Canada, Parise has 60 points and a mere +1 and he is USAs superstar...we roll, the talent levels are night and day...do you know how similar all this USA talk is to 2002, it is creepy, the game is already over...

b4 their game against russia. team canada practiced taking shots from the point with guys screening the net. they did not do enough of that against miller. i would love to see usa try moving nash from the top of the crease. luongo doesn't have to be perfect- his defence does. tonight luongo's first goal was his fault. the 2nd one - he stopped the first one in close and then it is the d man's job to prevent the rebound- so it wasn't lu's fault. then in the mad scramble it was luongo in the end bailing out the team u guys from the east don't even watch west games that start at 7pm pst. all u think about is his choke job against the hawks. very sad if u think that entails his full body of work.

Paul Statsny is born in Quebec City, Parise's father is from Quebec as well hehe, that's 2/3 pof their first line but yeah whatever...
USA is a good team, sure you have a shot at it, great goalie, great
speed but it's mostly young small inexperienced players that dont have
much physical game.
Canada needs a challenge to show up, I'm pretty sure we come out as
strong as we did against Russia but there's no way Miller will be as
bad as Nabby was, however Lou will play better than Brodeur did against
you guys.
Winning the first game is probably the worst thing team USA could have done... but yeah best of luck

Yeah you're right. I owe all the Blackhawks success solely to CANADA. Thank you Canada.
Blackhawks have a league leading 2.27 GAA and have 8 shutouts on the year. Our goaltending sure does suck ass!
Check for yourself https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/stats/byteam?cat=teamstats&sort=444
so where do u rank the hawks goalies then? certainly not in the top 10. of course it is the defence. hockey is a team game. really - well niemi didn't even get the starters job for finland, and u are going to sell me on the fact that reject huet is the solution? c'mon man- u couldn't argue that worth shit and u know it. start a thread and state chi goalies are the best niemi and huet are gods

I didn't say their the best. I said they didn't suck ass. I also never said they were gonna win the Cup. Get your facts straight.
Bottom line is, USA has the hotter goalie right now. And I'll take that advantage any day of the week in a one game, goal medal on the line situation.
yes i know u never said the above.to me though this year should be the blackhawks and not cuz of their goalie. your point is the goalie is the key reason that they do win. that is what i am arguing here. there is only one year that a goalie actually won a championship for a team and that was patrick roy winning all ot games and the finals over la kings. other than that- having a goalie winning it for u - is slim and none

bol to u don't u find hockey exciting now at the very least? if not- i don't think hockey will ever be a sport u would follow. why is that?
I find the Olympics exciting because it's 20 minutes of straight hockey with little stops. I can't get into the NHL because of the timeouts. Commercials kill it.

Canada are favored, and they should be. But, the US still has a very good chance. My guess is Canada will probably outshoot the US around 40-25. But, Miller carries a 96% save % so far, while Luongo has 92%. Luongo just hasn't looked very good to me. They may need shots on goal to be 40-25 to win this. Canada should win, but if you think the US has only a small chance, you're dreaming.
