I agree with you. The invite was to celebrate the achievements of the Bruins, not a political function, but then again, he is free to do as he chooses.

Just read an article on it, and here&#x27;s how I feel.&#xD;&#xA;Good for him.  He simply stood up for what his beliefs were.  He didn&#x27;t try to push his beliefs onto his team, but he stood firm and declined the invitation.&#xD;&#xA;Props to Chiarelli &amp; Neely for asking Thomas to come with the team, but allowing him his freedom of choice when he declined.&#xD;&#xA;This man stood up for a belief that he has.  He was negative toward nobody, and nobody was harmed.  He embarrased nobody.  We need more people like Thomas in the world today who aren&#x27;t willing to go along with the status quo.&#xD;&#xA;Whether or not you agree with his political lean, you should admire a positive citizen (who&#x27;s in the limelight), who chooses to respectfully stand firm.
