Niemi stood on his head in that game. I was on the over also and at least we had a shit load of shots on goal and made the goalies work. Both teams came to play which is a good sign for the rest of the series.

- I'm pretty much all set to take the over in this series, but not in tomorrow's game. Just a feeling that both teams will play things tight. Plus, as you mentioned, everyone and their mother is playing the over. Teams are well-rested, so hustle defense can be expected. I like the under - but just for tomorrow.

"SUNDAY 5/16 NHL!" That doesn't imply it's a closed thread only for your pick. In fact, before I even posted I scanned the listings to make sure their were differences of opinion. Indeed there were, so I posted the above quote.
Then, when I win, I post a sincere "better luck next time." and then my winning wager (which I super-sized out of excitement - and I"VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE EVER) and a few people get bent out of shape? It's amazing to me how many people run these threads like their own little play rooms, with their own little toys and game carpet, whilst completely forgetting the name of the website: FORUM (i.e. an arena of discussion for talking sports, sharing plays and predictions, etc.)

Yea, I was just excited since I bucked the trend and won. But it wasn't done w/ intention to offend. Some people might just say congrats and move on. I've actually witnessed this first hand!
