** Stanley Cup Finals Predictions ? **

Vancouver vs (yes you heard it here first) Buffalo! With Vancouver winning in 6 games!

(I have a future on Buffalo lol.. But really actually think they can do it!)

Are there really that many Det. fans out there or am I missing something? Here's a quick showcase from what I've seen.
- Detroit vs Phoenix - Don't rule Phoenix out of this. I do expect the Wings will win, but this is virtually an identical matchup to last year.
- Detroit vs Nash - Divisional opponents, Nash could win this.
- Detroit vs Hawks - If this happens, then Vancouver is gone. The hawks already play the Wings tough, but they will have gotten over an upset of top seeded Vancouver. Ugly.
- Detroit vs Ducks - Bottom line, do NOT overlook this Ducks team. I'm a Sharks fan, but I'll admit this Ducks team could beat EVERYONE. Not an easy match for ANY team. Wings would have work to do, and the Ducks beat up the Wings pretty bad last time.
- Detroit vs Kings - Easy win for Detroit, imo. But I expect the Sharks to take care of the Kings.
-- Now it get's interesting, or not...
- Detroit vs Sharks - Sharks won the Season series 3 - 1. This Sharks team isn't afraid of Detroit like it used to be. Expect this series to be over in 6 games, Max.
- Detroit vs Vancouver - I'll be frank, Vancouver should, probably would, and if it comes down to it, probably will rip Detroit to shreds.

I love the optimism from all the Wings fans on the blogs. But I'd be absolutely shocked to see them in the Cup Finals. Vancouver and San Jose will have to choke, and then there's Anaheim... Not a good outlook this year.

I wanted to put my Cup predictions in another post. So here it goes...

Winners out West - San Jose / Vancouver / Anaheim (In this order of probability) 4th? Nashville

Winners out East - Washington / Boston / Philadelphia (If the Rangers beat out Washington, watch out)  Again, in this order.

Cup 1 - SJ vs Was - SJ in 6
Cup 2 - SJ vs Bos - SJ in 5
Cup 3 - SJ vs Philly - Philly in 7 (I don't like this matchup at all)
Cup 4 - SJ vs NY - SJ in 7
Cup 5 - 8 - Van vs... Van in 5 or 6 (A west team has to stop them, or not at all)
Cup 9 - Ana vs Was - Was in 7
Cup 10 - Ana vs Bos - Bos in 5 (great D and good O will beat good O and shaky D)
Cup 11 - Ana vs Philly - Philly in 6
Cup 12 - Ana vs NY - Ana in 6

Wildcard Cups
- Nash vs...
Was - Was in 6
Bos - Bos in 5 (This will be an absolute slugfest)
Philly - Nash in 6
NY - NY in 7
- NY vs...
SJ - SJ in 7
Van - Van in 6
Ana - Ana in 6
Nash - NY in 7

These are my projections for "my top four" from each conference. Some overlap here, I am sorry for that. In reality though, I don't expect many of these scenarios to come to fruition. I have

1) SJ vs Was
2) Van vs Was

The west will prevail again this year.

But maybe Vancouver waltzes to the cup...I just want to see Detroit v San Jose re-match from a year ago

Penguins shock the world and make it back to the finals.

Hard to not like the Sharks the way they're played down the stretch. Anaheim has been playing great but they rely too much on one line and the defense and goaltending are question marks.

I am a Canucks fan and even though they played well vs. SJ this season I'd be worried if they met in the conference finals.

Caps and Sharks, Sharks in 6.
Bruins and Canucks, Canucks in 7.

How are you guys making Finals/Winners predictions? I'm on pinnaclesports, and I can only pick cup winners.... so of course I put money on SJ, Van, Bos, and Was!
