Had my first horrible day yesterday going 0-2 dropping 2.61 units. Forced a play which I didn't cap properly and got completely moosed on the Tampa TT u2.5 with Tampa scoring
Write up is underneath as it said I had too many characters so had to split it up.

A rare 2 unit play today, but the situation at hand really forced me to do so. I can promise that this is in no way shape or form a “chase” play from yesterday. I liked way too much in this game and decided to scale it down to these 2 plays. I also really liked Detroit TT o3.0 and Chicago TT u2.5, but if I liked those, then that obviously means that I like Detroit to win outright, so I'll just stick with these.
Chicago comes into this game having struggled lately. Chicago comes into this match up ranking in the top half of the league in most statistical categories. They rank #4 overall averaging 3.18 goals per game. On the road, we see a drop off in production where they find themselves #6 averaging 2.89 goals per game. The Power Play has been great once again this year, where they rank #10 in PP% at 18.5% and #9 with 29 PP goals so far. Their Power Play witnesses a rare improvement on the road where they rank #1 in PP% at 24.6% and #9 having scored 15 PP goals so far. Although their offense has been consistently good, we can't say the same for their defensive performances. They find themselves ranked #16 overall allowing an average of 2.89 goals per game. On the road, we see a considerable drop off in defensive production where they rank #11 overall allowing an average of 3.05 goals per game. The Penalty Kill has been absolutely atrocious this season. Chicago finds themselves #26 overall on PK% at 79.0% ans #10 having allowed 29 PP goals against. On the road, they stay fairly consistent where they rank #19 in PK% at 80.6% and #19 having allowed 12 PP goals against on the road.
Detroit has always been a dominant team at home but this year they are taking it to a whole new level. A big key here is Detroit's home dominance with a record of 16-2-1. Detroit's offense has once again been potent as we expect. They rank #5 overall averaging 3.16 goals per game. At home, we see a gigantic improvement to an already great number where they rank first overall at #1 averaging 3.95 goals per game. The Power Play is ranked above all league averages which really shouldn't come as any surprise. Detroit is ranked #8 overall in PP% at 19.1% as well as #8 having scored 30 PP goals so far this season. At home, we witness a slightly better PP where they rank #7 in PP% at 20.5% and #7 having scored 16 PP goals thus far this season. You can also make the argument that Detroit has been playing the best defense in the league this season. Detroit ranks #25 in the league allowing an average of only 2.35 goals per game. At home, we see an astonishing number, where they rank #30 allowing only 1.79 goals per game, that's just crazy. Their Penalty Kill has been slacking a bit so far. They find themselves ranked #23 overall in PK% at 81.0% and #10 allowing 29 PP goals against this season. At home, they stay fairly consistent where they rank #23 in PK% at 78.6% and #8 having allowed 15 PP goals against at home.
Detroit comes in with an astonishing home record sitting first in the league at 16-2-1. What is even more impressive, is they have held their opponents to 2 goals or less in 17 of their 19 home games this season, simply incredible. The last time they allowed more than 2 goals was 9 games ago, which equates to over 1 month. Chicago sports a pretty average road record where they currently sit 10-8-1. Jimmy Howard is a huge reason for Detroit's defensive success so far this season. Overall this season his stats are: 25-10-1, 2.04 GAA, .924 SV%. As expected, at home he is even more dominant, his stats are: 16-2-1, 1.68 GAA, .937 SV%. I really liked the over in this game originally, but felt that taking Detroit to win was a better bet.
Will definitely have at least 1 more play later. As always, Good luck everyone.
