CLB assistant GM is on "credentials" list for Ranger GM tonight. Vegas has NYR as fav to land Carter with Bos close second. Don't recall the odds, read it yesterday. Ruutu out with upper body injury (3weeks?) not sure what is wrong with him, if it is head B's don't need him.

Nash makes zero sense for the Rangers. Not the kind of player they need.  As strange as it might sound, Carter makes much more sense and would come cheaper.  Dubi would bethe first to go....and would not be missed.  Anisimov on the other hand would be a big mistake.

So the Leafs would give up Lupul, Grabovski, Aulie and a 1st Round draft choice for Nash.

The Kings have way too much money tied up with their forwards right now. There is no way they add Lupul's contract even with the subtraction of Brown's

I just don't see the Kings trading Dustin Brown. He still has a few years left on his reasonable contract. If anything, I see them dumping Justin Williams to free up some cap space.

If the Kings make another trade for an NHL ready player, it will be for a defenseman. They need a mobile d-man to replace JJ.
