The wagerline contest keeps me accountable, as I prefer to be when I post a record. The most I ever bet in one day was probably around 20K or so on a college football/NHL Saturday but that would have been in 2007 or so as I stopped betting college sports... I'm usually a dime player as I thought you already knew, but this season I am using wagerline for convenience, about that you are correct sir - glad to have you aboard 
The problem with wagerline is you cant change the lines so u have to play high juice mls instead of pucklines or the spread in the football game isnt up to date. I played the raiders+8.5 won yet lost on wagerline with 7.5. Played steelers under38 pushed yet lost on wagerline at 37.5.
Then theres the fact that its a very low priority for me and i make a lot of my plays at the last minute so i dont get a lot of them in.
Its a good indication but not completely accurate. I used to not take it seriously at all and play the board which is a recipe for disaster but its the only way to finish 1st! So, really, finishing in 1st place is complete luck. Most of those guys will be 10 grand up in one sport at the top50 and 20 grand down in another sport because their not trying to win money but simply a contest.

Plus you only pay -110 on totals,so you can nickel and dime the game to your profit.
Most of the top gamers are system players which use all sides and totals,something that in real life is too expensive to bankroll to profit.
They want you to get in the habit of picking the whole board,so you'll lose focus on that one nugget you might find.
It lets losing become acceptable,because there's no penalty for losing.

It's the whole contest that's the problem.
It's not real money being put at risk,so the picks are really meaningless.
Truth be told most of those leaders are true losers.
If they could bet any or all of their collected bankroll,they would.
And they'd be bust like everyone else in life.
That's what the contest doesn't tell you.
I deserve the L here - keeps me sharp getting spanked when you stick your neck out and make a square play like this one ... I made a few bucks riding this streak so we'll see if they don't pull it out today then so be it
