For those with short memories, Anaheim crushed New Jersey 5-2 in game 6 in Anaheim, and a lot of people I know were on their nuts at good money to repeat the effort for game 7, thinking their last performance on their own home ice overshadowed their last performance on New Jersey's ice (and what was that? a game 5 3-6 loss). And what happened in that game 7? New Jersey didn't let a team who scored 5 goal in their previous meeting score at all, in a 3-0 win.

And as a stat tidbit - in that NJY/ANA series, only once did the home team score less than 2 goals, and only once did the road team score more than 2 goals. This current all-home series is even worse than that: Not once has the home team scored less than 2 goals, and not once has the road team scored more than 2 goals.

Detroit faced Anaheim in a home game 7 just over 3 of weeks ago - you consider that a long time ago?

.It was 3-3 headed into the last 5 mins, and Detroit won without needing OT. A better experience for this game 7 than Pitts easy romp over Washington that was never in doubt after the 1st period was done with.
