NYI ML (-160) 3.2 units to win 2. Final game of 3 games between these 2 teams and Boston has won the previous 2. I think the Islanders avoid the season sweep in this one because they are the better team lately. Islanders are 7-2 in their last 9 with a loss vs. Colorado (understandable) and a letdown loss after a long road trip vs. St. Louis. Bruins are 2-4 over their last 6 as they struggle to find offensive consistency without McAvoy.
DET ML (-150) 3 units to win 2. Gotta pick on the Preds here who have 1 win in their last 9 games. The Preds are 1-4 in Saros' last 5 starts and the Wings are 4-1 in Talbot's last 5 starts.
MIN/CHI Under 6 (-130) 2.6 units to win 2. The under 6 is 8-2 with these 2 goalies combined in their last 5 games. Minnesota defense has been stellar, giving up only 1.5 goals per game over their last 10 games. If you take away the 9-goal outlier against the Sabres, the Hawks defense has been great too, giving up 2 goals per game over last 10.
ANA/VAN Over 6.5 (-135) 2.7 units to win 2. The over 6.5 trend is 13-2 in Vancouver's last 15 games. Over their last 10 games, Vancouver offense is clicking, averaging 3.6 goals per game, but their defense is absolute ass, giving up an average of 4.5 goals per game. The Ducks are no slouch offensively either, averaging 3.2 goals over their last 10 but their goalie Dostal has given up 3+ goals in 4 out of his last 5. I'm riding this over train until it starts losing.
Parlay STL +1.5/NYR +1.5 (+150) 2 units to win 3. The Devils are 0-9 covering the -1.5 in their last 9 games as favorite. The Canes are 0-9 in covering the -1.5 in Freddy Anderson's last 9 starts. Worth a shot at a plus money play.
