A passionate fan base people.....Very hard for most of you to relate to if you're not from there. I grew up in Montreal, and went to EVERY game for twenty-five years. It's a shrine and so unique and far beyond any other . It's a dynasty and hockey is a way of life in La Belle Province. Police are not respected in Montreal as in most places. They are just like the milkman or the postman to most. One always looked at Police with pity, as though they couldn't find a job or something, so they became a cop instead. Believe me, that's the way it is there. It's one of the great things about Montreal. The Police don't bother anyone, unless you're up to REAL no good. These guys are simply ridiculing the cops. Do you see any cops anywhere in the videos? No, because they know there is nothing they can do. In fact, before their shift, they probably drove out their fleet of dented cars, and one's with mechanical problems because they knew this was going to happen. They'll get new cars in the next few days.
It's funny...I just saw a French newscast on the dish where they interviewed a Police Sergeant from the Montreal Urban Community Police and he said, and I quote...
" We definitely didn't have our new cruisers out tonight!!!
They knew what was going to happen....AND in actuality, most of we Hab fans were scared that we were going to lose....

Wacthing the video you see small groups of white trash doing all the damage and causing these problems. The police in Montreal were no where to be seen and were totally umprepared. No barriers, no mounted police and no police details at all. There is no way they get away with that in NY, and you really don't feel bad for this kind of scum when they are getting there ass beat and then they yell brutality. There is no room for that type of crap anywhere in sports, and imange how many families were terriozed by these morons.

My goodness, you people South of the Border are easily swayed and opinionated by television. BELIEVE ME , NO FAMILIES WERE TERRORIZED.... These "anti'Police" things happen ALL THE TIME in Montreal. The Police ARE NOT PART OF EVERYONE's LIFE. They are ignored!!! We all "toy" with them.
This is TOOOOOO FUNNY!!

Please let it be known that all this took place many many blocks away from the Bell Centre, and these cops were from Station 10, ( as marked on their cruisers). The Cops from Station 10 have been in the news FREQUENTLY over the years..
