Here's a mind-boggling trend for tonight's game 1. Teams With Rest Disadvantage In Conference Finals 15-2 on the ML. Wow! We all know Trends are your friends until they are not. After watching both teams play over the course of the year. I can't bet on the Canadians tonight. I just think that Carolina is the much better team. Might they come out a little rusty after a long rest? Could be. But's it's at least a 3 period game. Give me

I should have followed the trend. Carolina was just not ready to play. I'm a little surprised that they are this out of sorts. I still believe they win the series. The 1st period was not indicative of the strengths of these 2 teams.

That's the 5th win in a row vs Carolina for the Habs. Last time Carolina lost at home was also vs Habs on March 26th 2026. 

Hurricanes were 5th in defense but Andersen sucked this year. Maybe got a bit hot but also played shit teams and made them look better than they are. Canadiens are kinda a bad matchup though Hurricanes could win on limited shots I suppose. I think Andersen is gonna continue get exposed and Dobes may either be the real deal or just that clutch type goalie. Interesting series.Dobes may be te most trustworthy goalie left. 

It's easy to say now. But I should not have bucked a 15-2 trend. Of course hindsight is always 20-20. I didn't even realize that Carolina had also lost 9 straight game 1's in the conference final. Ouch! But I still believe that Carolina is the superior team & I expect them to bounce back in game 2.
