I wouldn't touch Boston in this spot because they've had a long layoff between games and some of the team has been battling the flu.

Couldn't find a good play for today's match-up..
Really like Edmonton against Minnesota but after looking at Backstrom #s.. hes 22-3 career versus Edmonton alone.. That tells you something.. but then again Minny are bad on the road.. but I dunno have a weird feeling Edmonton will win on this one at home.. Ill wait and see whose in net for this game.. with Kuemper or Harding in net.. Edmonton have a big chance here..

Dallas is a no play for me too.. Im worried about their goal tending situation vsing the Canucks..

***5units New Jersey vs Washington OVER 5 -120

As for the Washington game.. Its a B2B game both at Washington home.. today and again on the 23 (2days after).. which is a little strange if you ask me how that schedule works out.. there are a lot of guys dealing with injuries between the two and seem to me they play really tight in the past recent meetings.. specially on the Power Plays.. Washington are back at home with a pretty good production on the goal department so far this season but they also give up a lot of goals too.. a 3-2 can result a push at a value of 5.0 -125.. I guess why not...

***10units Buffalo vs Toronto UNDER 5.5 -130

Toronto vs Buffalo.. I know Miller loves playing against the leafs.. and this is the 3rd meeting between the two.. AWAY team have won so far this season.. Buffalo have a new head coach and I think they will need to learn how to adapt to his system.. I like the Leafs chances on this game but then again its Miller.. and the frustration is getting to him after seeing all those interview he had in the dressing room.. So im gonna lay some money on the UNDER 5.5.. I think this is a good play..

***20units Boston ML -125

So that leaves me with Tampa vs Boston.. The home team between the two have won 9/10 in recent meetings last year.. Remember its a new year now and its a short schedule with new faces as well.. Tampa are really good on their PP but then again Boston are top #1 PK.. Boston also cant score PP goals this year.. Tampa Bay goalie Lindback have been great for them but I see him giving up a lot of goals at home as well.. I'm going with Boston ML on this one as a BIG PLAY..

Tephams in yor write up you say the home team has won 9 out of 10 yet your taking Boston who is away.i notice you use alot of trends are you going against this one?good luck tonight

Yes I am going against the trend.. those were last year stats.. and beside the flu-like symptoms.. 7 players are sick.. that's ridiculous!!! Boston is a tough team, they'll play thought it just fine..

7 players held from practice Tues, but all practiced yesterday, and are "feeling much better."  I'd expect em to play.  Maybe they won't be 100% though.  I am going to lay of the pick, but I think I play on the O 5.5.  Tampa has scored at least 5 the last 4 times these teams met in Florida.  Since their slump they've put up 6 and then 4.  Boston will need to put up points to keep up in my opinion.  Sick or not I'd expect them to be able to at least get on the board.  Does anyone know the starting netminders though?

They missed practice yesterday but did practiced today.. They will be fine

Agree thanks for the info.. no net info yet but I believe Rask and Lindback should get the call.. Tampa need a win to get the division lead.. it be wise to put the best goalie in net for today.. and Boston are behind 3points only playing 13 games so far and the rest of the league are at the 17games
