Stars are 2-9 in Game 1 of a series since 2022 and 6-2 in Game 2 following the loss. Yeah..I don't get that the math doesn't add up but that was posted on NHL.com

The Stars ARE 2-9 in their last eleven Game 1s, and what NHL.com meant is that the Stars are 6-2 in Game 2 following the eight Game 1 losses prior to Saturday's miserable Game 1 performance vs. the Wild.

@MrBator
That I understood but what was puzzling is they had 9 game 1 losses but you add 6-2 that only equals 8 game 2s. Where is the 9th game was the puzzle. ![]()

But even more surprising than the Game 1 woes of the Dallas Stars is the fact that the Tampa Bay Lightning are now 1-10 in their last eleven home playoff games. Prior to yesterday I believed that this year's team was going to show they they were tired of being eliminated in the 1st round, but now I'm starting to believe that they kinda like having the entire month of May to begin enjoying their offseason vacations.

Tampa has to stay out of the box with stupid penalties. IMO, Tampa watched Florida the past 2 years with their physicality and now all of a sudden they think they are that team. They are not. Hedman should be back for game 2...let's see.

The f'n Lightning beat themselves by committing 7 penalties yesterday, but even worse than that is four of them were committed in the offensive zone, and none was dumber than Jake Guentzel taking his stick and smashing an opposing player upside his head with just 21 seconds left in the 3rd period of a game headed for overtime.
I spent the OT intermission wondering how fast the Canadiens were going to score on their 99-second power play, and the answer turned out to be 82 seconds.

With all that happened in game 1, do you think it’s really good value to take TB now to win series and believe TB could actually win this series still?

Re-read post #2 - The totals are different b/c the Game 1 tally (2-9 equals 9 losses total) includes 2026 Game 1 Loss. Game 2 tonight can be added to those stats after the game tonight.
I'm on Stars tonight for sure so I hope that record goes to 7-2...

The answer is no. I thought for sure the Lightning would be well aware of their horrible home playoff record in recent years and would come out determined to win both of their home games vs. the young Canadiens who yesterday started a goalie who had previously appeared in only 3 playoff games. Instead, however, the Lightning gagged once again in front of the Tampa faithful and now I expect the team to suffer a fourth straight 1st round exit.
