Chara has been riding forwards out along the bench for 20 years folks, he doesn't need to be reminded what lies at the end of EVERY bench he has ever made that play on...
Suspend him. Then change the fucking rule or lack thereof - there needs to be more accountability and why the hell are players evern ALLOWED to body check along the boards - all it does is endanger everyone with skates flying up in the air indiscriminately... whatever the NHL loves the attention and don't give a flying fuck about player safety- nothing will change

in the real world you are penalized your reckless actions. when you drink and drive it is careless. your intent is not to hurt anyone and some do..and they pay for it.

2. There was no intent to purposely shove Max into the stantion. It was a bad spot but Chara did not make a definitive move to shove him into the stantion. He was already looking down the ice away from Max when he hit the glass.
3. Chara is not a goon. In fact...most of us in Boston would wish he would play a much more physical game. He just doesn't throw big body checks and this one wasn't either. He's more of a goof than a goon...believe me. He rode him off (definitely a penalty) but if that stantion wasn't there its 2 minute interference and we are done. So...it comes down to do you believe he deliberately saw the stantion and threw Pacioretty into it with intent. I just didn't see it that way.
Most of you here know I am a big B's fan...but I am not a big Chara fan. You can choose to believe or not believe that. He is not a great leader and IMHO Patrice Bergeron should be wearing the C.
I truly hope that Max Pacioretty makes a complete recovery. No one likes to see anyone go down like that no matter how much they hate the other team.

Other guy runs straight into the pole. Malicious? No. Stupid? Yes. It was dirty because it was intentional. Not the injury, but it wasn't an accident. This is completely different from two players racing for the puck and the defender hits the guy from behind. Those are intentional too, and the other player knows it's coming and usually turns to avoid the full effect. And you don't see guys tryin to run players through the glass very often nowadays. Why is that? Hmmm.... Anyway, Chara knew where they were on the ice. There was bad blood between them and Chara had an opportunity to send a message. Except it backfired.
