They actually just talked about that on nthe bruins broadcast, how people in the flyer organization are saying this team just has zero swagger, and that is one thing flyers teams always have.
The world knows we need a new goalie. He has his great nights but you never ever know what you're going to get and he can let in a horribly weak goal at absolutely anytime from anywhere on the ice and you can't ask your players to leave everything they have on the ice when they have to deal with that all the time. Having your goalie give up weak untimely goals is the most deflating thing in the world as a hockey player. It just saps you of your desire and compete level.
I hear you on the weak goal stuff. You just never know with Bryz and that is dis-heartening but they are stuck with that crazy ill advised contract.
As far as Laviolette...I know I was really dissapointed when the Bruins didn't hire him for the head coach and let him get away to Long Island years ago whilst proceeding to go through people like Robbie Ftorek and Dave Lewis afterwards I believe. I am a little partial since he is a local boy but he should be able to land on his feet somewhere.
