In a short season like this, front running teams can't be gotten past. Long seasons are built for teams to underperform yet still have enough time to develop a groove and get enough chemistry going for the playoffs. In a short season, that time luxury to fix things doesn't exist. You have to pay more attention to teams out of the gate. Early grooves/chemistry is what counts in a short season.

I'm a Penguins fan BUT I somewhat have to agree. I couldn't figure out WHY we were the fav for the Cup preseason. the D is shakey, Goaltending inconsistant AND we don't have the SIZE at forward which really shows esp on power plays.

as fo Ducks vs Blackhawks, I think it would be a tight match coming down to WHO has the "hot goalie". Viktor Fasth could definately be this year Johnathon Quick

the cup wont be won by anyone you would normally think of.
take last year as an example.

we know it wont be the leafs cuz they cant beat boston even once.

well here we go with PBW and his usual BS right after he calls out some guy for trying to "throw the snake" with the same BS last night

WHO wins the CUP? the "hot" team with the "hot" goalie going into the playoffs just like last and most other years.
