Ovechkin is the best player in the NHL. He can score and he can hit. Just beacause Crosby is Canadian, he gets all the hype. If Ovechkin was Canadian you would see him in all the commercials. Crosby is a baby!

Yes I agree with you 100 percent on Ovechkin.  Even though Crosby was being Idolized 3 or 4 years before he even made it into the league I still wouldn't say he is a little bitch.  He takes abuse all game every game and with no George Laraque around he has to stick up for himself at some point because the refs are not doing it.

i know bure wasn't a power forward.  i wrote the incorrectly.  I'm just saying, ovechkin will fad like bure, AND ovechkin is a power forward. 
 
he took them from last place to playoffs?  ... or did the new coach do that? 
 
young?  same w/ pittsburgh.  they're both in the same situation...with very different results.
 
it will be interesting to see how these two teams end up after this season's post season.

there is a dozen players in the nhl who deserve more attention then crosby. so many players could skate circles around him.  hes worshiped and hes not even the best player on his own team.

this is ridiculous.  the only other player that warrants a "who's betteer than crosby" discussion is ovechkin.  and that's only because ovechkin won the hart in a season where crosby was injured. 

it's easy to look great, when the expecations on you are 2nd to crosby.  crosby's under every magnafying scope there is. 

i would like to know of these "fans" / player haters, actually watch more than 3 crosby games a month.  the guy is simply a magician out there.  of the amazing plays this guy creates out there, only a tenth of them actually get recorded as assists because the others just can't finish.

just remember, both ovechkin and crosby were given a fair chance to go to the finals.  only one went there.  ov had a very good chance to beat philly.  PHILLY - not exactly the best in the East.

Ovechkin is a very good hitter, shooter, and energy player.  His leadership has still to be proven.  League-wide, everyone recognizes crosby as THE leader.

Crosby mugging McLean wasn't exactly classy.  BUT...big but, sometimes people need to be mugged.  No one but those two, really know if whether or not he deserved it.  We don't know what he was doing the entire game, etc.
 
Mugging Mclean is a lot better than half the shit i've seen players do that don't get mentioned here.  It's just, the "Golden Boy", is watched so much, that of course someone's going to say something about it.
 
What about the sucker punch Jovocop took against Chicago?  He still had his gloves on, with his stick in hands.  Do you know the name of the Blackhawk who did that?

I know what you're saying unohuim. Walker hit jovo and doesn't get near the attention. The same thing is mentioned in the Ruutu biting thread how Derian Hatcher did the same thing last year and got away with it.
