The last time I posted this trend Mr. Bator's critique was this
Throwing that 1-31 trend in their faces is kinda rough. They lost their final 11 games last season, and the last 10 were against the West. You’re dredging up painful memories for a team that finished with 22, 20, and 19 wins the past three seasons. This season they’re up to 33 wins with still eleven games left to play.
1. I wasn't aware that the players on the Sharks were reading my thread & thus had their feelings hurt by dredging up painful memories for them. I hereby apologize to the team and ask them to please not read tonight's thread either.
2. If he had bothered to read my thread of about a week ago (when I posted the exact same trend). I clearly stated that this year's Sharks team are much better than in prior years. And could make the trend not as useful as it had been in the past. So, repeating that fact seemed a little redundant to say the least.
Mind you I am not that thin-skinned that I can't take a critique of my pick. I'm open-minded to all points of view. I'm not claiming to be the sharpest pencil in the box. However, when somehow I get locked out of the thread (for the rest of the night, so I can't reply to the critique) with an error code of 403, I start to smell a rat. That is something I do not appreciate. Now, that I got that off of my chest. On to tonight's game.
Tonight's game with the Ducks will test how much better this Sharks team really are. They are fighting for a playoff spot with only about 10 games remaining in the season for them. The Ducks also have reason to play hard as they are trying to lock up a division title. I am backing the trend to go 32-2, and I am expecting a Duck's victory. Could I be wrong? Of course, so flame away.
Ducks Even

The Ducks probably aren’t in a good mood today. They returned from a 3-game road trip and hosted a very winnable game vs. the troubled Maple Leafs. Things were going according to plan two nights ago until a 3-1 lead turned into a frustrating 4-3 lead for the visitors. A late goal forced overtime, but the Ducks bowed in OT with just 5 seconds left on the clock.
Pretty sick way to lose. The Ducks have five straight home games coming up, but first they had to get right back on another damn plane for this unwanted road trip up to San Jose. It’s a meaningful game, but no team enjoys getting back out on the road again after they’d just returned home and played only one game. I don’t expect the Ducks to bring nearly as much enthusiasm tonight as the home team likely will. The Sharks salvaged their recent road trip with a win in the finale in which they won it over the Blue Jackets with 85 seconds left. Two nights ago in their return to The Tank they made things even more exciting by winning the game against the Blues with only 21 seconds left.
So who’ll be hungrier? The Ducks looking to get a bad taste out of their mouths while checking out of another hotel, boarding another team bus, and knowing yet another flight awaits right after the game? Or the Sharks who’ll want to keep the momentum going and the good times rolling?
I’m on the Sharks -104 and -105.
