This is part of the reasoning:

After being shut out for the first time this season, 3-0, by the Blues three days ago, the Hurricanes will be placing a great deal of emphasis on their offense following that embarrassment. Carolina is the No. 7 scoring team in the NHL. The Hurricanes had scored at least three goals in nine of their 10 previous games before losing to St. Louis. Veteran Sergei Bobrovsky is projected to be in the net for Florida. He is having a down season with a 2.90 GAA and a .881 save percentage. Florida is coming off a four-goal game against Buffalo. The Panthers will have fresh legs, having last played four days ago. There have been six or more goals scored in seven of the past 10 meetings between these two teams. The OVER has cashed in four of the last five head-to-head meetings.

Wow.  Panthers did not help at all.  Good thing we did not need them. 

Then lose two games in shootouts and empty netter.  At least Nashville looked good.
