What a great first night of pucks.  Just a great ceremony in Bahston. When the hockey god walked onto the ice it sent chills. The Leafs may have something in goal this year.  Time will tell.

What is the O/U record since the NHL started playing their first few games in europe?

Do they play those games in an international size rink instead?

The OU record would have to be researched.  I believe they do play on the international size.

Nice little angle with Selanne and Koivu getting a heros welcome, opening the NHL season in Finland.

The ducks are reported to be loose heading into the season opener, spent the last few days vacationing at a wilderness spa.

That's the second angle I was looking at.

The third angle is in the Canes game.

The Canes have a chance to get revenge for last seasons collapse in game 82, that knocked them out of a playoff spot.

Game 82 happened to be a blowout loss to the Lightning in what proved to be a horrible finish to the year for the Canes, crushing any playoff hopes they had.
