He can sit out all he wants. The Niners are looking pretty good on the offensive side of the ball anyways. WR Josh Morgan is looking real good in preseason camp, #1 reciever type material. Isaac Bruce may be long in the teeth, but the guy is still a solid contributor. Arnaz Battle and Jason Hill are good back ups. Jason Hill could have a breakout year imo. He's got that type of hands and skills.
 
If the defense can step it up big time, we won't be missing Crabtree much. He doesn't seem like a chemistry guy at all. Not that if he wasn't, Singletary won't be able to handle him.

For the record Josh Morgan is this leagues next big thing. Hes a beast. So niner fans dont worry to much. But someone does need to tell this guy that if you aint drafted in the top 5 your big money comes in year 3. But I will let it all play out before I start calling people out there name...

Might this screw up a bit for the 49ers training-camp?
I can see the 49ers and Eagles (Huge fan of the Eagles) starts the season with 2 straight losses, especialy Philly with the loss of Dawkins (he isn't the player he was anymore, but he's the born leader and was the heart of the Phills...)

You don't need to go back longer than the start of the MLB season with all the off-field attentions with the Phillies (especialy the loss of Harry, the Eagles got the same with the loss om Jim..)

Gonna fade the Eagles from the first pre-season game until week 3 and might do the same with the 49ers...

BTW, I hate players who cares more about money and attention than the game... Damn how lucky these guys is that can do what they love for a living, it's almost every guys dream...

Sports is about the love of the game and the team/teammates, the money is just a bonus where you should take what you get for doing what you would do for free if they wasn't pro's...

What the fuck's all the fuss about? Josh Morgan and Jason Hill are just as good or better than Crabtree. In fact, I'd draft Josh Morgan over Crabtree without hesitation. The Niners fucked up by selecting Crabtree, they already had three solid receivers.....they need a pass rusher and another LB to play opposite of Patrick Willis.

i hope they dont sign him and next years draft he gets drafted second round because no team will want to pay the money he wants what a loser.  its his life. hope it works out for the better but most likely he will have ruined his carreer

Crabtree is no steal...Believe that. JJ stokes anyone? Honestly comin from spread offense against big 12 d? Could be deceiving. There was another rook that the niners drafted from the big 12 that had more td catches than crabtree and never scored one in the NFL. Can't remember his name though. They changing rookie salary rule next season maybe so not sure if crabtree bluff is the smartest.

rawm...without playing a single down, how do you know the D is stronger than last year? What aspect of their D is better than last year? I don't think they have a very solid D line....the secondary did ok last year considering they had to cover a receiver for 6 seconds...no pass rush...gave up 143 rushing yds/game, only 30 sacks for the entire year.... Justin Smith had 7 of those sacks and he's a 9 year vet ...hope he holds up this year. They only drafted one defensive player this year in the first 6 rounds...a 5th round ILB, Scott McKillop from Pitt. I'd like to hear your thoughts

Steal? Maybe. But what if he keeps getting hurt. Might become an injusty prone player. Charles Rogers was supposed to be a stud when he came out of MSU.

These two are very similar. Both I hear were not excellent teammates and have their entourage who they have to been seen with.

You just nailed it. Eugene Parker, Crabtree's agent, thinks his client was dissed by not going in top 5. That is why he wants top 5 money..... And Parker has a personal EGO large enough to matchup Ocho Cinco, TO, and the best of other NFL super egos.... Crabtree will only sign when Parker feels his personal agent ego has been properly stroked....

Ok you guys know that he might be a better receiver than Darius and he got 38 mil guaranteed. Also now of days look at the career expectancy of nfl players. I say get paid while you can, but his problem is that he is coming off a huge injury for a WR.
