this kid is losing more than the 49ers. dont these players know the NFL  is bigger than they are. this is not mlb or nba where they need the PLAYERS. the players need the NFL.  i dont think 49ers could give a rats ass right now. michael crabtree will be drafted towards teh bottom of the first round if not second round.  u would rather sit out a years pay check which is about what 10 million. wait till n ext year sign a 5 year deal and get paid the same amount with the time u missed. doesnt make any sense

How can you be on the players side in this case??????He was offered the deal for his slot....thats how it works,who the fuck is this guy to change it???Not a diva....I hope he gets in some trouble while hes sitting out just to make him fall even further in next years draft....maybe i can sell him a gun and take him to a club...
 
Its just too bad the owners wont get together and agree not to draft him next year,thats what they should do...make him sign a FA contract....Fuck Crabtree....heres hoping he goes to Detroit where WRs go to die

yes crabtree is a bitch.  He thinks he is above the system and the rules and norms do not apply to him.  Typical egotistical head up his ass Wide Receiver.

Singletary and company are trying to send a message.  Nobody is above the team.  He made an example out of Vernon Davis and he has no problem doing it with Craptree.

Reminds me of a philosophy donned by Bill Belichek.

Look at how Heyward Bey is performing right now and tell me the guy deserve more money than Crabtree.

The key here is to get the right contract in place. Crabtree's agent tries to get him a short contract so he could be free agent sooner. If he really live up to the expectation then the 2nd contract will pay off this hold out.

I am not on anyone side but the Niners are also cheap in this case. They got burned with the Alex Smith deal and want a cheap deal with Crabtree to make up their losses

Crabtree acting like a queen,and agent think he is the king,crabtree is nothing more than a system wr,like those big 12 qbs,who are replaced really easily the following year,crabtree stock will diminish more every week,and he will get even less next year if he holds that long.He should of took the money and ran,he acting like a diva for no reason,when all he is a espn over-hyped jerk from texas -tech!

He has until Oct 17 to sign.   If he does sign I hope he has to do a suicide one on one tackleing drill with Caoch Singltary.   Coach still looks like he can knock the snot out of someone.
