It's a game of strength & strategy, isn't it? Many of the rules I feel can just be eliminated. Thus, reducing the officials ability to rule.
Full-time refs are another must, verse these part-time gigs the League employs. A full-time ref needs to be 100% in tune with the sport.
During the week they can also workout, look at film, go over the rulebook, make enhancements, and better themselves for the game's sake.
These refs that have other full-time careers, can too easily be influenced in so many ways. Requiring refs to have no other employment,
eliminates many of those outside distractions. And for what they're paid, that shouldn't be any problem. The League won't have any
trouble filling the positions none-the-less.
As far as a human having to make a split second judgment call, once in a blue moon we can live with the human element.
This thread is about the most blatantly bogus phantom calls that occur during the most crucial game changing plays.
With that phantom pass interferrence last night, there's no excuse. The ref simply has to see if there is a blatant foul and if so throw the flag.
There was nothing blatant, there was no foul, and unlike not calling a foul that was, how can you explain calling a foul that wasn't?
These phantom calls are nothing short of fraud. And no matter where you look, they happen every week, on plays that are crucial to the games outcome.
It's not like one official blew one call. Every week, it's mulitiple officials, in multiple games, blowing multiple calls on major plays
that involve big yardage or negate a first down pick-up, or provide an automatic first down after the team failed to pick it up.
Seriously, enough is enough; this has gone on too long and too far and something has to change for the better.

to not succumb. Spare us your negative spin which only makes an ass out of yourself.
One thing is for sure, you will never change anything for the better with your attitude. You apparently like to just stick your head in the
sand, which changes how you feel, but doesn't change anything else. I did expect some would object to this thread, which I chaulk up to
someone, or their friend, or their relative, etc. is an NFL official, or is part of the scam, etc. Why else would you object?
If you're not part of the solution, you Sir are part of the problem!
This SirJohnDrake reply is a common misconception. How can one person change something so monumental? Well, it all starts with
one person. It has to start somewhere doesn't it? And then people have to join together and make a union, and perhaps we'll go
on strike from supporting the NFL if it continues to be as grossly corrupt as it appears.
Ignorant people litter the streets and waterways, with the rationalization is that someone is always going to do it. So why shouldn't I?
All it takes, is for each person, to properly dispose of their refuge, and you eliminate litter.
You may not be able to control another, but you can control you. In honor of the late Michael Jackson, his song puts it beautifully ...
It's something like ... if you want to change the world, take a look at yourself in the mirror, and make the change! It's that simple.

In addition, this ignorant jackass SirJohnDrake has to go out of his way to distort the reality. Again, if you read, I didn't lose.
Does my posting in 15 different threads, prior to the game, that I was solely on Miami justify? I knew the thread wouldn't hold as much weight
had I posted it after a loss. So, I specifically did it after a win. SirJohnDrake writes like a 9 year old.
In any case, this is not about gambling, winning or losing.
This is about protecting the integrity of the game. As just a fan of the game, who wants to watch the event properly and fairly officiated,
to reduce (if not eliminate) the blatantly bogus phantom corrupt officiating in the game that is running wild.
You got a problem with that Sir?

The like diplomatic immunity they have needs to be done away with, and they need to be held accountable and responsible.
Why is that so difficult to fathom?

I venture to say that folks noticed the strike zone varied on who the ump was, and decided to start tracking them. Smart move.
Absolutely need to do a similar thing in the NFL, if not all sports. I don't know of any sites that do it, though welcome hearing.
I suggest we start tracking them ourselves, and keep a weekly tally on which officials are good, and which ones are bogus.
Perhaps I'll have to start a site that does just that. Need to document all the blatantly bogus phantom calls (non-calls) that are
crucial to the game and spread. We have to come up with something, anything, other than allowing this corruption to prevail.
It's just about at the point where you need to handicap the officals more than the teams![]()
