I'm serious when I say this, I honestly thought Carolina should have either traded out of the 1 spot or drafted Marcel Darius, Von Miller, or Nick Fairly and then tanked this season with Clausen at QB and traded Steve Smith for a draft pick next year. They could lose every game this year and no one in Carolina would be mad at them for getting Andrew Luck.
This might be one of those years were being dead last is a good thing. Honestly what's the point in going 4-12 this year if someone else is going to have a 2-14 record?

Also, don't take it so personal that people think 49ers will be bad, most people think they know a lot about sports, but can only spit facts they see from so called 'experts' on ESPN.
I've seen a bunch of threads with people predicting the Fins to go like 3-13, and then when I start debating with them, they can only name like 3 or 4 guys on the team.
Whatever is going to happen will happen regardless of what the media or people on covers think.

dude, the lines can and will change week by week.
I don't think the Niner will be that bad, 6-10 - 8-8 IMO

Well I'd say the magic number is 4 wins or less so the teams I see trying to reach that but failing are (in no particular order)...
San Francisco - Imagine how those fans feel knowing they could have taken a kid from thier own backyard, Aaron Rodgers-CAL, and took Alex Smith-Utah in his place. To be fair, any QB would have sucked playing under the current ownership. But thier new HC would love to snag his star Stanford QB with a little LUCKy 12-14 game losing streak in SF this season... right? Can they allow another talented QB to escape from thier own backyard? My guesstimae is 1-15 for the Niners.
Seattle - Good thing they have so many coffee shops up there because it will be hard to stay awake watching this team, even at home where they had been decent in recent years. Maybe downers will become all the new rage to avoid seeing any games at all. They should petition the league to actually let a 12th man play so they can have a chance to win. Seattle fans should hope that 12th man can also play QB. Jokes asides... I've heard the 12th man refused hid season ticket renewal for this season. OUCH!!! My guesstimate is 4-12 for the Seahawks.
Cincy - What have thier fans done to deserve being treated like this by thier teams owner? They could have 10 number one picks next season and still be 6 years behind in a 5 year plan. My guesstimate is 2-14 in yet another rebuilding decade.
Carolina - Run, Cam, Run. (...and that's your plan in a nutshell folks. Enjoy those season tickets) My guesstimate is 1-15 for the Panthers. And it might not come until a final week game vs the Saints who will sit everybody and only dress stadium employees.
Buffalo - Seems like the guys from Up State always wind up near the 4 win mark. Bright side is they get the AFC West this season so just maybe. My guesstimate is 6-10 for Da Bills (includes 3-1 vs AFC West... or not).
Minnesota - McNabb is an upgrade from last season BUT he's in the same situation just a different division... 4th best in the North now in stead of the East. At least he has a RB in Minny so he won't take as much of a pounding getting sacked. Still... I bet that ball see a lot of turf or pick 6's as McNabb just smiles it all off heading towards the sidelines. McNabb must perform well or it will be "No Soup For YOU!!!" - My guesstimate is 4-12 for the Purple 5 led Vikes.
Denver - Good thing they had practice not knowing who thier #1 QB was... because with that O-line they might have a new one each week. I think we will have seen the last of John Fox as a HC in the NFL after this season... hopefully. Hey, can they carry Elway as the #4 QB??? Just saying. Maybe put all 3 QB's in the same backfield??? I'm trying to help and be creative here Pony fans. Here's a joke - Orton, Quinn and Tebow are all in an airplane when they realize the pilot is gone and the planes is going down. There is just one parachute so Orton jumps up and says "I'm #1" then jumps out with it.... Quinn stand up after finding out he was sitting on another cute and says "Must be the luck of the Irish" and jumps out with his cute... Tebow just smiles and says "God is my co-pilot" and walks towards the cockpit which is a glow in lights from a fire there. No wreckage of the plane or any trace of Tebow are ever seen again. ---So, I tried a funny, ha,ha,ha. - My guesstimate is 4-12 for Denver
Oakland - Finally the Raiders show some signs of hope... sweep thier division... finish at .500%... Gain some respect back... and then... FIRE the best Head Coach they have had since "Chuckie" was friggin TRADED(!!!!!!!!!!) for a draft pick. Yes last season they improved on offense with Hue Jackson who is now the head coach. This guys will be on the Al Davis sh!t list by mid-season. Lets hope Al does not hold another Crypt Keeper press conference about the HC unless he's gonna fire this guy or move the team to LA again. They have lost thier best defensive star, CB Nnamdi Asomugha because of a glitch in his contract...Oppsie!!! They lost thier most productive receiver, Zach Miller, to Tom Cable and his new OLC job in Seattle. The only thing AGAIN that might save them from just a 4 win season is that they play in the AFC West but there is a very real potential for them to go into the bye week with an 0-7 record. I wonder if they can sign that LA stadium lease agreement during the bye week. That's one way Al can beat the Chargers this season. Rumor "should be" that if the Raiders move to LA they'll need to add bomb sniffing dogs and metal detecters for body searches at the stadium and lot entrances in the new LA stadium. Besides... LA likes a good drama of two and since NONE of the Hollywood writers can come up with anything aside from remakes... well, enter the Oakland, LA, Oakland, LA Raiders. It just seems so right for this wacky franchise. - My guesstimate is 4-12 (4-2 in AFC West) for Daaa Raaaiders.
My best guesstimate is ... a TIE between Carolina and San Francisco at 1-15 each.
Now lets move on to the thread that explains the tiebreaker for worst(First Pick in Draft) team in the NFL for the 2011-12 season.

My opinion isn't based on 3 games of this preseason. I've had the displeasure of watching Alex Smith for the last 5 years and I would like to think that 5 years of football is more than enough time to evaluate his performance. He is fucking awful, everyone knows he is awful.....so awful that Harbaugh is going to give Daunte Culpepper a tryout? This is beyond laughable. Not to mention that you have the youngest offensive line in the league as well as a new center. Frank Gore won't make it half way through the season. Give me one reason to believe San Francisco is going to win more than 4 games this year besides the lame excuse that they play in a weak division. St. Louis and Arizona are going to be much improved this year which is why I have the over in both teams season win totals....easy money right there.

Kolb played in like 4 games last year and was essentially a rookie. Bradford was a rookie. Smith can barely hang on to the starting job after being in the league for 5 years or so.
I would much rather have Bradford or Kolb and their potential upside over what i have seen from Alex Smith so far.

I can't argue with your statement. Apparently, I have been clueless but if you think about it, does ANYONE really have any idea on how to figure this league out? I mean, you have analysts, sportswriters, coaches, owners, etc.. who have no fucking idea from one week to the next as to what to expect. This league is a perfect example of trial and error as we the public are constantly re-evaluating from week to week. The coaching that Harbaugh has done with his team and Alex Smith has been nothing short of amazing.

I honestly still stand by my statement. When I meant upside I meant more future thinking than 5 games into this season. I would still rather have the potential with Bradford and Kolb then what I have seen in however many seasons Smith has been in the league.
I'll admit I have been wrong about the Bengals so far. I also wish the Lions had their schedule as well.

I think this thread deserves an astrisk in a way since it was started before it was announced that Manning was going to have another neck surgery, but after he signed that extension.
In a similar story I took him with my 3rd round pick in a fantasy league 4 days before his announcement.
