It is a divisional rivalry so there is familiarity and enmity and anything can happen. The Steelers IMO are a deeply flawed team on offense and so far untested on defense.
The right side of the Oline is weak and the left tackle almost got Rodgers killed last week from a brutal 50/50 high low hit. Think wax statues in Madame Tussaud's museum.
The wide receiver corps can't get open downfield due to the pass rush. Wide receiver DK Metcalf's performance has been pathetic with many critical drops. Michael Pittman might still be out and Roman Wilson and Germie Bernard are inexperienced.
The only two shining lights for the Steelers on offense are RB Warren (averaging 4+ on the ground) and underused mammoth TE Washiington. The opposition in the first two games loaded the box and so far the Steelers have no answers.
This will be the first true test for the defense against an elite QB. The Steelers under DC Patrick Grahame have been using a lot of zone in their pass coverage and it has worked well facing Rush and Maye but now they face Burrow and he will shred this secondary IMO. Steelers have Rayshawn Jenkins at Free Safety and he is a liability and he will get smoked. Steelers have been prone to getting beaten deep since they traded Minkah Fitzpatrick who was never the problem (another Tomlin gaffe). This will be an intense game and the Steelers will bring it but they just don't have the talent to matchup to the Bengals' aerial attack IMO. Steelers also have a Thursday night game after this one and Silverstones pointed out that this can be a big distraction in the games played before these midweek games. The owner, Art Rooney the Lesser is the one responsible for bringing Rodgers back. This just delays the time when they will have to suffer through the first years of a rook QB. The guy is 74 now and and it is time for him to move on and hand it off to his son Daniel. Anyone who has followed the Steelers for years knows that this geezer has the insight of an earthworm. These are just my thoughts and my play this week. Anything can happen in this current NFL considering their questionable business partnerships.

It will be hard not to bet against Pittsburgh this week. They’ll be motivated to look like a more efficient outfit this week, especially in a home game. But the reality is that that’s probably not enough based on what we’ve seen so far. The reality about this Pitt team is that they may have a legitimate defense but the offense is probably going to be pathetic for the most part. Rodgers probably should have called it a career last year and his return may just end up being more of an embarrassment than anything else. He’ll continue to place blame everywhere else but the truth is that he’s contributing to the disaster that his offense is. The lame checkdown passing game and wild misses on the downfield stuff are just not sustainable for an nfl offense. There’s very little path to success for this offense. And the new coach probably doesn’t help much, especially early in the season when they’ll naturally have growing pains.
