Hey I just went and looked at that final Sproled TD in super-slow mo on my Tivo and guess what Chargeres guard #66 was holding Dawson #96 for th Colts and there was no F'in call for holding.  Seems to me that the stripes had a dinner res they were trying to make.

2 defensive holding calls were absolute bullshit and a few absolute bullshit spots throughout the game. I never though before NFL was really fixed but holy shit, now I know even the playoffs are fixed. Unreal

The worst part about it is that you research what you think it the best side to take, and the officials are ones that decide it. Colts didn't cost me money. Refs did, once again. Yet, i still do it.

you are exactly right, we cant even have real sports anymore in this box ass god damn world. Anyone will cheat to get money, its a joke. No matter what you know about sports, the refs make it irrelevant.

gamblor----agreed, it just pisses me off when there are "historical firsts" occuring in an NFL playoff game and if you point it out, you are whining.
 
I could give 2 fucks about Colts or Bolts, I am a fucking Canes fan, and I have also been around long enough to know when the refs add a bit at the end.  Never seen them add that much though.

Gunner, Bama got worked and deserved to lose. There was no referee bs there. But apparently, take your money on whoever the public is not on tomorrow - then you will be on the same side as "Vegas" and you will win!

If you want actual advice, personally, I'm going w/ Miami and Philly, but if you take capping advice from anyone but yourself, you are wasting your time and money - and the fun involved in these events (in my opinion).

Give me a fecking break.  Go back and review the overtime drive.  The refs did a wonderful job.  Stop trying to blame someone else when you lost a game.  Only blame one person....go look in the mirror my friends.

The colts are a fucking joke, Manning wasn´t able to make a 3rd and 2, damn run the fucking football or look for Clark, how many times  Rivers looked for Gates at the end.
The referees are always going to decide the games, happens all the time and the holding call in OT was ridiculous, both were looking for the ball.

man oh man that sucked. Especially when I was leaning AZ and ended up with a no play than lose like this. How often do you see defensive pass interference? slim to none than its twice in a row, they never showed a replay of it so id like to get an opinion from the people with a Tivo out there.

Dragon - I have reviewed the overtime drive. And after watching NFL/ college for 22 years (and paying attention to it), all those calls were potential penalties. But there are potential penalties on every play. E.g., there is holding on every play. But there is no need to call this in OT. The only legit play I can consider is the facemask, as the NFL has made a point to protect players against it.

Your point to gloat is made, but your point to herald the refs is useless.

If you have no argumentative point, please respond with: "I won; I am better than you."

This ref crew has called more penalties all year than any other ref crew in the NFL.  Indy was trying to win this game 17-14 with their dink and dunk bullshit rather than coming out and running over the Chargers like they should have right from the start.  When you let a team like the Chargers hang around long enough, anything could (and did) happen.
 
I don't subscribe to the "don't call it in a spot like that" theory.  If it's a penalty, it's a penalty and both of those calls in OT were penalties and the refs had to call them.  I don't like it when refs decide to call some things and not others (like in the zona game...that was absolutely holding in the endzone and it should have been called...game changing or not).  They are there to call penalties and that's what they should do no matter what the situation. 
 
If a player doesn't want a ref to decide the game, he shouldn't put the ref in a position where he needs to call a penalty...don't hold, don't grab a players face mask, don't interfere, etc.....  JMO

yeah right 2 sec. it was more than that, damn, run the football, given the ball to Addai or  throw quick pass to Clark or call an extra protection (put 2 running backs) to hold the pressure, do something, there is game on the line and you need to call a better play.
