its not the lions fault they beat who they beat.. cowboys and tampa bay are decent teams. i have not been on the lions bandwagon but you have to understand their previous seasons to understand why they feel atop of the world.

Sure they might not WIN against the pats or packers, but I don't think everyone is going around putting $500 futures on Detroit to win the Superbowl. Compared to last season they are much improved and have a good CHANCE to make the playoffs this year.

wouldn't say they are overrated. Look how shitty they have been in the past, this is why their strength of schedule looks weak.
Detroit is a playoff team, 4-0 ats thus far. Sure they will lose games, theren't gonna go 16-0 or win the Super Bowl, but they have made huge strides from the 0-16 season.
Good bettors won't just disregard these improvements. The market has not caught up with Detroit yet. And yes I am including their monday night football game vs the bears.

Now dont get me wrong, i agree the lions have improved dramatically, but to open the lines giving chicago +7, i dont see this being even close to possible. now i know the bears are'nt that great( there okay), but there the toughest competitor thus far..... +7 no way...
i understand last seasons plays into the whole excitement factor also, but i could not give up 7 points to chicago, based on the last 4 games.. theres no way
They are building, they look okay, but they dont have that package yet, that "it" factor, that team chemistry. this is not there season, but i do believe possible the next couple seasons they will be real deal conenders

Then why not just start a thread saying you like the Bears this week bc you think the lions are overrated and shouldn't be laying 7.
Instead you make this pathetic thread with your caps lock title and a first post that looks like it was written by a 10 year old, all just for the attention.

The Lions have won 8 regular season games in a row 6 of those on the road. They are 7-0-1 ATS in those 8 games. And yes the streak started against those power packed Super Bowl Champs Green Bay Packers with a 7-3 win at home. Mr. Rodgers unfortunately did not finish that game he had a slight concussion from the Detroit D. The Lions lost at Green Bay that heavy duty number one team in the league 28-26 and were driving late for the go ahead TD but unfortunately lost. You will all find out Monday night just how good this team is whether you think they are overrated or not.

Road wins in Tampa, Minny and Dallas are nothing to sneeze at. The Falcons lost in Tampa. The combined record of those teams, excluding the losses to Detroit are 5-4.
Are you really contending that Detroit isn't 3 (now 2) points better than the Chicago? The current spread would be Chicago -1 in Chicago. From what I've seen, Dallas is a much better team than Chicago, and Tampa might be too.
Detroit hasn't played on MNF in a decade. Don't think they aren't seriously out to prove the doubters wrong. This team plays hard for 60 minutes, which is a lot more than you could say for a bunch of other teams in this league.

Sure they might not WIN against the pats or packers, but I don't think everyone is going around putting $500 futures on Detroit to win the Superbowl. Compared to last season they are much improved and have a good CHANCE to make the playoffs this year.
Nobody is putting $500. futures on Detroit to win the Superbowl. Thats probably why they went from 75-1 to win the Superbowl to 6-1 on most books. Somebody was definetly throwing some big money down probably a lot more than $500.00.
