I personally believe Peyton and this O vs. this Washington D is a mismatch in favor of the Colts. I also like home dogs on TV. jwheel... Love the thoughts behind the post, and I think it needs to be discussed. But the fact is that the numbers point to the colts, the principle points to the skins. It's a tough spot to go with anything concrete, but in the end, I think I have to stick with the numbers and ride with the public.

I believe in trap games to the extent that human perceptions can become out of whack very easily. I believe reverse line movement is something to be paid attention to but not something to form a conclusion on.

I also believe in the Peyton rule. The rule simply states, on prime time on a short number, don't be afraid of the usual "trap" people get scared off with the Colts. The Colts are excellent over the last 4 years in small margin games, even better in prime time, even better on the road, even better against teams with winning records.

Why is the line +3? Because Washington has been involved in more 3 point games then any other team in football over the last couple years. YPP indicators show an almost mirror image of the two teams as far as totals go. Both teams are 3-2. The Colts have injuries. I figure -4 HF for Sunday night. The line looks like a trap, but it's at the perfect number. The questions is who do you side with form that point. I'll take the "Peyton factor".

Let me add, this trend of high public % then reverse line movement, has happened in almost every Colt primetime road game for several years. The Colts have destroyed the number in the vast majority of those games. Don't over think this people, never use this logic for a Peyton lead Colt team. Trust, I've been burnt by it WAY to many times and I don't like taking favorites, least of all road favorites, even least road favorites on PT.

doyou still feel the same way about this?  skins arent loking good right now...i know its only 3rd qrtr, but there offense is lacking, and peyton is picking them apart....this game could easily be over by now if peyton hit some open recievers
