Scala! I've been tailing you for a long time and you've made numerous incredible picks and I respect you immensely for that!!! however with this pick, I must warn you that this isn't as easy as you're making it seem.. You're putting a lot of emphasis on unimportant stats such as preseason and as strength of schedule. You're forgetting that our KICKER was directly responsible for losing 3 games last year. Had our he made even 2 out of those 3 kicks and win us those games, we would have been 11-5 or 12-4 instead.. The hiring of their OC is extremely questionable. But you can't label these as disastrous descisions yet before even seeing the results.. Don't forget how many people questioned the Seahawks when we drafted Russell Wilson!!!!!! OH YA A MIDGET?!?!?! AS A QUARTERBACK?!? And look at him now. Top 3 QB. This is just my opinion, but I don't think that under 7.5 is a homerun. I would put money elsewhere. I mean just look at who they are playing this year, they can very EASILY win 8 games... Too easily actually.

I like the bet Scal and not sure you mentioned it in any of your post because I am lazy and didn't read it all but the Hawks division is going to be tough as well I think with the 49ers on the rise and the Rams being a solid team with a great young coach.

I like the Janikowski signing A LOT. Yes Walsh costed you games. It’s undeniable. Fair counterpoint.

I don’t understand how Oakland just lets one of the most prolific FG kickers of all time walk away for one million. Idiotic.

Yes Kev clearly this will be a much more competitive division with only AZ as the whipping boy.

I guess my question to you would be why do you think it was placed at that number?  I look at schedule and don’t disagree with you but this is a very popular opinion that bottom will fall out.  If Wilson stays healthy I think this will be a nut hugger.

I don’t think zona will be as bad as people think.

Well I am late to the window and this number was originally 8.5 not 7.5.

8.5 is a much better number (obviously).

Sons right now is EVEN with Seattle when they visit the Cardinals the first time. So even Vegas agrees with you.

I just believe the draft sealed the deal for me. To have SO many holes all over your Defense and a weak O Line, you go and draft...Rashad Penny without even a second rounder.

That is insane. That was the submit button being clicked for me on this one.

I just believe the draft sealed the deal for me. To have SO many holes all over your Defense and a weak O Line, you go and draft...Rashad Penny without even a second rounder.

That is insane. That was the submit button being clicked for me on this one.

    Correction:

Seattle @ AZ is a pickum on the lookahead line (hence even Vegas doesn’t believe AZ will bottom out).

Anybody know why my bet was a PUSH?

    STRAIGHT BET
    [NFL] [2290] 2H CHICAGO BEARS -163

    Shouldn't this have WON?

On track for 9 wins as it stands right now.
Seahawks about to embark on a brutal schedule over the next month. Chargers (away), Rams (home), Packers (away), Panthers (home)

I can only see 1 win there but if they get 2, this bet is basically done and dusted.

i think this total is going to be close still a long season. but the way they are playing they could look like a 9-7 team again. these players love to play for Pete Carroll, plus with the death of their owner i think they'll play a little more inspired
Sip on that plus money honey!

Not sure if it makes any difference if someone is suspended or not, I wanna get feedback on whether or not this total is going under or over.
I made a future bet and want to know if there's anyway I could possibly hedge.
I have very few options now. Have to hope that Seattle go on a 0-4 run to make it a very close finish.

Their wins have been against the Cowboys, Cardinals, Raiders and Lions.
Nothing to rave about there so it's going to be very interesting to see how they handle the next month.
I can't see them getting close to Philip Rivers and the Chargers this weekend.

i could. Chargers coming back home from London fresh off a bye i think they'll be a little rusted. and aside from KC and LA which were both losses its not like theyve played anyone great in their wins either. if u can see Chargers win 5, 6, 7 or maybe even 8 in a row then you believe they will beat Seattle on the road. the Chargers should be able to handle Oakland, Arizona and maybe Denver both at home. i personally dont see the Chargers going 9-2 after week 12. 8-3  is more reasonable.

So this isn't what the kids call trolling?

I see 3-6 over the next 9, which covers. It'll be close though. If they go 4-5, you're a half win a$$ out. Chances are that this will finish within a half game of the number either way, which is what the oddmakers intend. I would wait it out a few more weeks and revisit this talk of hedging. There will be better opportunities then. The next four should be all tough.

Chargers look good, like seriously good.
I'd be shocked if Seahawks stay within 7 points today.

    To respond to the above:

Well guys this will come right to the finish by a nose.

4-4 and an absolute must-lose vs the Rams this week. Not taking that game for granted either.

That will at best make them 4-5 with:

    Packers
    Panthers
    Niners 2X
    Chiefs
    Vikings
    Cardinals after that

That is pretty good in terms of a tough schedule.

We get Mullins in SF possibly getting us 1 of 2 (which makes up for the Garappolo injury) and then honestly I think they’ll be 7-8 going into the Cardinals game.

That’s tough. We’ll have to talk about that in terms of whether we hedge off some.

I will say they almost lost to the Cards if not for a missed FG with a minute left in the last game. That was huge for this total. Although we’ve been fortunate vs the Rams and Chargers (who were beggin to lose that game with missed xtra points and FG’s).

Hawks should have nothing to play for in the final week and should pack it in but could easily beat the cards just going through the motions.

But losses to the @Panthers and @Rams are absolute musts. No excuses. Losing to the Packers would be gigantic @Seattle. Really need that one.

Did the free Scal movement move the needle or did you serve your sentence with no time off for good behavior?

Scal, good to see you out of the pen lol
    I'm picturing a confused 'Brooks' from Shawshank Redemption aimlessly wandering the streets after his release;

Look forward to closing football season strong, hell of a call on the Play of the Year. Hope you took me up on that Joe Manchin election win. That was easier than Mayweather/Mcgregor.

-Seattle is still good for a push where I have it @8, will be close for sure, factoring in the randomness of their division if the abysmal Cards or Niners can steal one. Why I'm not crazy about NFL season totals.

-SMU season win total is in danger zone after that loss to Houston, which I did not get to watch, but was shocked to see that final score. The win over Tulane on the road did surprise me. I still think after they win at Uconn, there is a chance to finish with 2 losses having Memphis and Tulsa left.

-Purdue hoping for the push after theyve got Minnesota this weekend, and Wisky & Indiana to close. Nothing wrong with a push after their wins over Ohio State and Iowa. Maybe wishful thinking but not over til it's over.

BOL the rest of the way on out with football/basketball

Titus, it did nothing in terms of getting me out unfortunately but I thank those who saw I was trying to help someone instead of hurt them.

    Johnny,

The SMU win was beyond bizarre. 14 pt HOME dogs crushing Houston, just like Purdue crushed OSU with the same line. I had SMU down for an L every which way until Sunday in an OUTSTANDING season for Houston. Ed Oliver not playing didn't help.

So no use crying over split milk but to now lose this RSW total:

We get a bad beat vs. Navy a team I had down for an automatic W, and a team SMU hadn't beaten since 1998, winning on the last play of game in OT with a TD and 2 pter.

And vs. Tulane where they won in an absolute squeaker as 7 pt dogs, on a busted coverage play coming back from 23-14 and scoring the last TD with under a minute to take it down.

Now our fate comes down to Uconn in its worst season ever and Tulane playing absolutely awful. That's assuming Memphis wins. I can't believe we are in this spot after a perfect 0-3 start.

For Purdue, the OSU win says it all. Lose that it's at worst a push. If they win we are in deep shi*. But Indiana is their main rival and can beat them anytime/anywhere in a game that should be very tight.

Seattle will be a squeaker as well. All these RSW will be right to the wire with some major prayers on the SMU side and small prayers for Indiana to beat Purdue to push.
