All fair points.
Let's start with the running game, "First, the Pats cannot run the ball." They are ranked 8th in the NFL in rushing and only one yard behind Dallas who is seventh. So "cannot run" is a a bit harsh don't you think? Especially when they are averaging over 121 yards a game. They just played the 3rd and 9th ranked defenses respectively with regards to rushing defense. What you're seeing is a superior passing attack with incredible weapons. So basically they are passing to set up the run, rather than your traditional run to set up the pass.

Thin huh. Well if you are speaking at linebacker it would be hard for me to argue. But the defense as a whole is far from thin. The secondary trots out a #1 draft pick to give the DB's & Safeties breathers. The D lineman are probably the best and deepest group in football. Seymour, Wilfork, Warren and Green coming in on passing downs. Please find me a better D line in football.
Are they struggling defensively? Sure they are, but I'll tell you this, there were several instances last night where Boller barely avoided sacks and other disasters. Case in point the big play they had in the first quarter.
With regards to the cold weather factor, I couldn't disagree more. The Pats control the ball, #1 in the NFL for TOP, and they do that with short outs, quick slants, WR screens, and quick dumps to the RB's. With Maroney's two long receptions last night that has to make teams respect the short pass game even more.
The Pats game isn't throw deep and pray for Moss to do something spectacular (though that is in the playbook). It's short, quick, passes and runs that come at unconventional times from unconventional formations.
They are not the Colts from 2 years ago, they are the Patriots Dynasty of the 21st century.
Patriots fans should try and be humble, because that's what our coach asks of his team. However, if the Pats had lost last night this forum would have been brutal to us, and I can only imagine if they lose a game the shit we are gonna take. So for now we are basking in probably the most prolific NFL season of all time.
