Not at all andy, I know where you stand and vice versa. Ive discussed all aspects of the game in various threads.

The Cards strength defensively matches up nicely against the Stillers. I would fear a strong passing team with an extremely accurate QB who has confidence and passing skills. Ben does NOT have that skill, he is not accurate and that is what beats the Cards.

Did you watch the championship game? The Beagles lost because Donny was lacking accuracy and they couldnt take advantage of the Cards weakness, and I dont think the Stillers will be able to do that either.

look at all the angles dude.....road game on the east coast in the snow with a couple key players sitting out after they had already won their division.....if the nfl allowed teams to forfeit pre game they woulda...wheisenhunt just put guys on the field and got the game over with as quick as possible.....

Ben completed 60% of his passes this year and that's including the games against great fronts/secondaries where he struggled, I wouldn't say he's not accurate.

McNubb choked again there's no doubt, but the bigger concern is that the plays were there to be made. The guy was missing wide open receivers in stride and throwing absolute lasers at guys that were 5 yards away.

Another thing about that Championship game was McNabb had all day back there pretty much other than the times Arizona brought a safety blitz. The announcers were saying it all game "McNabb with all day" "No one near McNabb". If that happens to Roethlisberger he will not mess up like McNubb and he will be very accurate hitting open receivers facing a weak front and weak secondary, he will be hitting receivers and shredding like has been done all season against the Cards pass D.

not sure if one can compare the philly and pitt offensive lines when talking about protection. they give up a decent amount of sacks.

Ben couldnt put up numbers against the second to last passing defense in the league AT HOME.

I find it interesting that the "top" passing defenses are teams who didnt play passing opponents.

Baltimore was number two during the season against the pass, yet they only played 4 teams in the top 10.

Baltimore and Pitt were ranked number 12 and number 10 in defensive passing attempts and number 21 and 23 in attempts per game average.

Of course they are going to be ranked at the top, they dont play passing offenses.

Also note that Pitt was ranked 14th in completions (from low to high) .

This "top passing defense" argument is garbage, they have a good secondary and it is obvious with the sack and INT numbers (number 6 in INTs) but they havent faced a team like this in a neutral environment.

Things could go their way, but I just dont see this as lopsided as many Pitt backers do, I will be interested in seeing if the secondary decides to roll the dice and try to LB or S blitz and if they use single coverage or a zone coverage because if Pitt gambles on blitzes and zone coverages, it will be pitch and catch for Warner and any receiver they have..much like the first half of the NFC game.

Their secondary is a sieve. lets take a peek at some of the points they have given up this year all through the year from start to finish.. 56.(Jets)....24.(Wash).24.....27(Carolina).....24(the freaking 49ers )..24.....37.....48..... 35...(freaking minny)..47...... But hey this defense has gotten "better" in THREE WEEKS time.. lets look at those magical THREE games...Sure they gave Atlanta 17 at home by half (on a pace to give up their normal 34 points)and stiffened the 2nd half.. But by no means were steller.. Next they played their ONLY good defensive game of the year beating Carolina.. Next they come home to have Philly rack up over 500 yards vs them ... They won but dam did they ran  through the raindrops.. Pitt may have a below average offense but vs bad defenses like the Cards they win.. Ben has to be licking his chops to play this sieve after facing real defenses all year.. Could be a good one but Pitt will make some stops.. Dont know if Zona can claim the same.,. Pitt wins this game 7 out of 10 times IMO it may not happen this Sunday but it wont be because of Zona "improved " ..... defense..... Also all this Bolts talk on how they moved it vs Pitt during the Championship game is .... They had a great opening drive but after that the next 7 drives that took them into the 4th quarter they had a total of FORTY SEVEN YARDS in SEVEN drives.. .... They had the rest in garbage time vs a prevent defense that was counting the clock down.. Just like Pitt has not seen WR,s like Zona they have not faced corners like Taylor and Mcfadden   (best young duo in the NFL IMO) with Clark over top for some punishing hits.. Enough already on Zonas offense take a look at that rag tag defense especially in the secondary..

Dominated?    What game were you watching?   Yes, Steelers won the game straight up, but Cowboys matched Pitt blow for blow until late in the 4th when Romo went into his late season choke mode.  But in no way shape or form did Pittsburg dominate that game.   Cowboys were on the verge of being the first team to gain more than 300 yards (289 total) and have the first RB to rush over 100 yards (Tashard Choice-88 yards) on that tough Steeler defense.  But once again the annual collaspe by Tony person cost Dallas the game.    Quoting Dennis Green, "We had them!!",  "Then we let'em off the hook!!"

   

Held them to 13 points.  Three picks, three sacks, and a fumble recovered.  Romo 52% completion percentage.  Tashard Choice did have 88 yards but was held to under 4 ypc.  I'll add one more thing for you INT return for a TD.  I rest my case.
