OK, here is some history... I am a huge Giants fan, and sometimes this helps, and others I am subconsciously so biased I have no idea what I am doing.
With that said... I predicted the loss last night. BUT, I was also sure we would lose to the Packers.
He we are again, I am SO SURE THIS (Saints +5) IS A GREAT BET....which honestly makes me think we win this game (call it reverse psychology, or better yet learning from the past).
I have the EXACT, no, a BETTER feeling than I did for the Packers game that the Saints will DEFINITELY COVER 5 Points.
In the past whenever I am this sure I am dead wrong. But, I already locked it in Saints +5.
Last night was not a gut feeling (like this Saints Giants game is) last night was just really knowing my team and what games they usually drop, and as I posted in another thread, they would lose last night.
So...take all this for what it is worth, I can not imagine us winning this game by 5, I really am afraid we will lose.
Best of luck whatever you do, obviously I want the Giants to win as Dallas and Skins are only a game behind.
If none of this made any sense to you, I apologize for the time you wasted reading it...but it is Tuesday and there really isn't a lot going on, and I was just so shocked at this line I had to vent.
Our weakness is our DB's, Saints should be able to throw all over us...unless the front four plays great...that is our only hope. I think after last week, Brees is going to come in determined.
I am worried about this game! Saints +5 GL

Saints may be deflated - there will be no playoffs this season, going outdoors to play motivated Giant team - Brees has not played well for a while, team may already be thinking about next season, I hate playing Giants as home favorite, but I think they will win - should be a very strong tease candidate this weekend in my opinion...

Eli Manning is nothing without that offensive line.
Actually our OL is average at best, and has been for years. We won 2 SB's with a patchwork OL, constantly switching guys into other positions, playing rookies, losing guys to injury (again last night) BECAUSE of his talent.
Manning made some of his greatest passes on the biggest stage, under pressure, with guys in his face.
So your post couldn't possibly be more incorrect, but I understand as I am guessing you are an Eli, or Giant hater and nothing factual would ever convince you...am I right?
The truth of the matter is NO QB can have constant success without a decent Oline. NO QB.

Whoa, whoa, no need to apologize I WANT my team to win...I put just enough money that if we win I am very happy, if we lose I have something to dry my tears with, lol.

If Brees cannot play well indoors, how will he play well outdoors?
BTW: you were gifted that cover (Saints vs Packers) by the refs and a fluke snap fumble on the goal line by a 2nd string QB because Rodgers got poked in the eye. --> Can you count on that luck happening again?
Saints have to travel to NY - Giants are in must win mode - Saints just lost a division game, had their playoff chances crushed... and Brees' TD mark is done. ... How in the hell are they - the Saints, including Brees - going to be motivated to do ANYTHING once adversity strikes on Sunday?

Two things, not sure what the Saints Packers game has to do with anything. and so now because Brees lost his TD streak he is no good, lol.
Hope you are right, but not liking this setup.

My point - there are no tangible (or perceived) anchors left to keep the Saints from slipping further down. That Atlanta game was everything to that team. They went home depressed, and now have to travel to NY to face a Giants Team in a must win.
They will play to win (the Saints) until they get blasted by a Giants team with a conviction to win. Then they will wilt like a flower past it's bloom. Eli pulls away in the 4th qtr. Saints 2012 season fades further into oblivion.

The offensive line has been above average when Locklear has played. Deihl is a DOG!! Defensive ends run around him like he doesn't exist. So with Locklear done the O line is once again mediocre. And, Beatty is not 100%.
I'm a Giants fan that likes N.O this week also.
I think the Giants will find a way to win but 5 pins?
I expect the Saints to be able to run which in turn will open up the middle of the field that the Skins exploited last night. Copy cat league right? I can't see how Kenny Phillips can play next week after leaving the game again last night.
I haven't even looked at any trends yet on the Giants, but from memory I'd bet they are a very shitty home favorite.
Turnovers are the one variable difficult to predict on both of these teams.
The Giants NEED to win and they do tend to play well with their backs to the wall.

Brees was constantly pressured last week vs. Atlanta and yet threw for over 300 yards. The 5 picks killed him. It seems to me many defenses are NOT pressing the throw or jumping routes as they have in the past due to the speed of receivers and once missed they're usually gone. The "G" "D" resembles this as does the Steelers. Last night Eli faced the worst pass defense in the League, Sunday he faces the 2nd worst. If the weather's NOT a problem, I can see both these teams scoring often. RG3 & Morris were able to eat a lot of clock which the Giants will try to eliminate with the Saints and they simply do not have a Morris on there roster. Eli will be the better QB on Sunday. GIANTS 34 - Saints 24.

I'm playing the Saints +12 and the OV43.5 jsut to play it safe but the way the Giants played against Wash, the Saints might just beat them straight-up.

Good thing he has an offensive line. They block very well for Eli.......something NO offensive line does not do for Brees. The Saints are done. Stick the fork in!
