Hey Guys...1st post. Did the homework and here are the years and results for the trend stated in the beginning of the post (if it was NOT the conference Championship Game - but the game where they beat the Champ was either WildCard or Divisional)

1984 Bears beat Wash then lose
1986-87 Wash beats Bears then loses
1992-93 Niners beat Giants then lose
1995-96 Pack beats Niners then lose
1996-97 Carolina beats Dallas then loses
2000-01 Saints beat the Rams then lose
2005-06 Denver beats the Pats then lose
2007-08 Chargers beat Indy then lose
2008-09 Philly beats Giants then lose
2010-11 Seahawks beat Saints then lose

so that's 0-10 su since 1984.  GLTA

As far as Trends go, a few years ago I noticed a huge trend on teh buffalo bills at home. Whenever they were less than a 3 point favorite at home they won and covered the spread pretty much every single time. The last time I used it and won was when they beat the Detroit Lions 2 years ago and won by 2 pts. the line in that game for me was 1.5 but then the two times the situation happened this year the bills lost both times SU so all good things come to an end, as in trEND
