Boatloads, Rams are a BAD matchup for the Patriots, Chiefs should have been a cake-walk their D was so bad, yet it required a phantom roughing the passer call against Brady for them to seal the deal.

I agree with everything I just don't know about Goff. That's my only question mark. Can McVay make him believe he can win this game.  Pats rb Michel ran for 100 yards against the Chiefs D which gave them a balanced attack. He will not be running for any where near that vs the Rams. But we've seen Brady win games with no running game what so ever in the past. Rams D line will not be on the field all game like the Cheifs was.  McVay will double Edelman and let Brady try to win the game throwing to Gronk and his gimpy self all game long. I love the Rams here as well.

Fade this guy. Thinks Pete Carroll just had to run it. That's it game over. Yeah it's that simple right?

All I know is that when you write a long love story like this, you lose. Many people called out "Patriots are not good" and look what they did. Anytime people called out the Patriots, they always proved people wrong. Might wait for the 2nd half to bet or just enjoy the game.

Says who? He has won all of these that I have seen in the playoffs this year, and one in NBA.

Pats will win this game.   110%.  Rams shouldn't even be in the Superbowl.   Don't overthink this.

Usually, I'd wait around the two weeks to gather all the information I need but I feel so comfortable with this one, I only needed a few hours of quiet calm and research before I posted it. That post comes right here.

I am taking the Rams +1.5. It opened at -1 and less than 4 hours I am already the beneficiary of a 2.5 pt swing in a very tight spot. I'll take every point.

    Here's why:

    1. This Rams team is modeled after the Seahawks Super Bowl Winning Team of 2014 and the Eagles of 2018 and their financial formula under the NFL cap rules has worked to perfection.

This is the new formula for success in the NFL:

Pay your QB on a rookie deal and unload at the other positions grabbing up all the prized free agents.

It's how the Seahawks were able to spend so much on the Legion of Boom and how the Eagles paid Wentz virtually nothing in comparison to all their prized positions and offseason signings which lead to a title. BOTH paid off with a Super Bowl Victory and really, that formula has worked 3 times in 5 years if Pete Carroll just calls 4 running plays to end a game.

And here we are again with the Rams. Goff is paid a base salary of $3 million dollars. That is insanity.

    Good writeup, I don't disagree.

But, I love the comment highlighted in red. If "Pete Carrol calls 4 run plays".....I have heard this one a million times since the Seahawks choked it away vs the Pats. The correct answer was to give the ball to Lynch on the goaline, as many times as needed.

That being said: Russel Wilson was the QB...he could of checked into the Lynch run anytime he wanted. But, he wanted to throw the winning TD. Greed cost him, and the Hawks, dearly. End of story.

That pick is Wilson, no one else. And, as is typical of an epic meltdown, the Seahawks haven't won since. Surprising this hasn't been more of an issue...

Never Make A Winner A Loser. Never.

the reason the line went up is because rams will cover. Remember the line moves up u take the dog. If it moves down u go favorite. The idiot public perception along with the greed of the bookies has made it this easy on us smart bettors. Truly this easy although I admit I use more than this to cap my games and determine winners.

Cap-Master-  This trend wrong on NO-RAM game- NO -3.5 down to -3 and lost game.

they need 3 third and longs in that OT drive to win the game.  a 3rd and 9 and 2 third and 10s     they don't complete those and the Chiefs win that game IMO

    love the pick.  BOL

Please get that rams buyback keep betting on the rams .. we just saw a better version of the rams lose at there home.. kc had a better qb wide receiving corps and tight end. Rams have slight better o line.. and at this time neither running game is to be desired.. Chiefs terrible defense played well against The run.. pats beat them thru the air.. rams can stuff the run.. there front won’t be able to get to Brady.. another good matchup for the pats

What is the public - an honest question. Why are they important?

The Public represents "square" amateur bettors ofcourse

The public typically likes to bet favorites while "sharp" professional bettors often favor taking the points.

For example the public loved to bet against the sorry Browns the last couple years while sharps often took the points

Brilliant post. As usual. Good job. I agree with all. I Have a little play i put in to start the season, rams to win the super bowl $100 to win $1000. Nice on that one. Will for sure be adding to that play on the + small points. Rams raise the Lombardi this year. Good luck my man. Go Rams

I will get back to the other comments but to everyone saying, "I don't see the Pats losing two SB's in a row" I refer you to 2012 and 2008 where the Pats not only lost two in a row. but lost two in a row to the 'lowly' Giants (a huge Dog the first time) and a 3.5 pt dog the second time. Now look at their wins.

2002 - Beat Rams 20-17 on the last play
2004 - Beat Panthers 32-29 on the last play
    2005 - Beat Eagles 24-21 under 2 minutes
2015 - Beat Hawks on last play on the worst SB play call of all time
2017 - Beat Falcons on last play

Now you GET points, ANY points (VERY valuable!) given Bill plays it close to the vest in Bowls because he knows Brady is always there for 'The Drive" AND the Pats have flushed their "Bet Against Us" mantra down the toilet since they are the favorite.

"Nobody believed in us!" Yeah, okay Tom. Well that psychological crutch is LONG gone for you to lean on. I love that that's out the window.

Another tidbit NOT in the OP:

I was just watching Tiki and Tierney on CBS sportsline and it was noted that the coaching staff got together at 8am ON GAMEDAY and at the breakfast buffet drew up 8 new plays and used 5. All 5 worked.

This can be looked at two ways:

    1. The Pats braintrust is so brilliant that they can come up with and USE 5 of 8 NEW plays in a AFC Championship Game and have them work.

I look at it the as a negative:

To feel the need to have to come up with 8 new plays shows there was a deficiency in their gameplay up until that point that they had to remedy that MORNING.

And against the Chiefs putrid D, it worked.

The Rams D is not the Chiefs D, that I can promise you...
