This may be a dumb question, but how do you even bet 100K at a casino?
Do you go to the bank and make a withdrawl and have the bank teller put 100K in a big suitcase? Then do you take your suitcase to the sportsbook and heave it up on the ticket window counter and then make your bet?
Wouldn't it take the guy an hour to count out all the money as well to make sure you didn't slip in a few ones instead of hundreds?
I'm assuming this isn't the case and everything is done electronically somehow with bank wires and such, but I'd like to know....

bator, jumped on the under 55 hard when it first came out. I think I saw somewhere you did too. you still feel good on the under??? man it seems like every tout and everyone is on the over, which is good most of the time but it still makes you think " I hope I didn't fuck up".
mogator, I wasn't feeling too excited about my under 55 a couple days ago, but right now I'm feeling good about it and I'm keeping all of it (4.2 units to win 22). I also need the Giants to stay under 21.5 points.

MrBator, hypothetically what do you think the Patriots chances are of winning this game without Randy Moss? Would Welker, Stallworth, and Maroney be enough weapons to still get the job done and/or cover a big spread?
There is no doubt that all your points regarding this game is very powerful, but i just can't imagine a guy who admittedly took plays off becoming a member of a Super Bowl Championship team. I think virtually all opposing players, though respecting his talent, would love the opportunity to lay him out (cold). I mean how could anyone not take exception to a superstar player (or any player) that takes plays off when the play doesnt directly involve him?
This may be an odd angle, but I think its clear that outside of the Patriots team and their fan base, there are a lot of people who truly despise Randy Moss and would love for him to come up short.

I remember a couple of years ago, when Randy Moss was sulking on the sidelines for the Oakland Raiders, I thought to myself that the New England Patriots would be the least likely team in the NFL to ever employ this guy. After all, the ultimate Team Concept franchise would never touch the ultimate Me First troublemaking superstar. You can imagine my surprise when the Patriots traded for him. Look what's happened, though. Moss could not have been a more pleasant surprise for the Patriots and their fans, both on and off the field. For all the times he has disrespected the game in the past, Moss has done a lot this season to earn some measure of forgiveness. I used to dislike him, too, but now - what's not to like?

I went large on the G-men under 21.5 even money and NE -11 (-110), and then I put a much smaller bet on the Pats -20.5 (+275) for fun and of course value. Combine those bets with my NE to win the superbowl futures (+500 and +550) and it looks like we will be cheering for the same side and outcome(s) tomorrow.

I won't be able to post final wagers because after I wake up in a few hours I'll be en route to go collect my tickets in downtown Phoenix and then on to the stadium in Glendale. Actually, I will try in the parking lot if my laptop has any battery left. My original plan was to unload approximately 100 units on the Patriots minus the points, but on Wednesday I got a chance to make a very big bet on the moneyline at the ludicrous price of -400, so I did that. I've since added to that bet with a little more -400 action online. I've laid numbers ranging from -11 -112 to -21.5 +300. I'm not finished with the pointspread bets, not even close really. I wish I could have gotten a lot more down at -14.5 +150 but I guess I wasn't the only one with that idea. I'll be blasting away at Matchbook in a few hours if anyone would like to book my Patriots action personally (probably around noon PST). Dr. Luck, my total risk on the Pats minus the points will be around 50 units.
