It's a myth, take it from a guy that stood in front of nightclubs as a front doorman for many years. A glass of Red Wine does warm you a bit because it is the one alcoholic beverage that increases blood flow everywhere including around your core.

Do cigarettes really help you deal better with anxiety and stress? Nope. It’s the oral fixation and the actual motor actions of smoking the cigarette and the signals coming from the brain. That’s what gets people to buy them even though they cause cancer! Hello!!!! Those chemicals make you THINK you are calmer and less responsive to stress. “Feels like”and actually “doing” are two completely different things. The whale vomit and rat poisoning in cigarettes can’t really help you with anxiety and stress, can they?! Nope!!!!!
