matt cassell will get the chance of his life pats going from probally 15 point fave to getting points ridiculus.vegas nows what there doing no brady everybody will roll against pats im sticking with them they will win this game easily to many good recievers for cassell to suck take the points

I like the Pats here too. One player doesn't make a team, even if that player is Tom Brady. The Pats still have talent all over the field, and the best coach in the NFL. They will just change their offensive gameplan and give Maroney more touches. I also expect to see a lot of short slant and swing passes to Welker to see if he can make something happen after the catch. I'd be surprised if they didn't run a reverse with him at some time in the game also.

I think Pats win 23-14.

Gonna be a crazy crowd for Favre's regular season debut.     Tough place for Cassel to make his first start.
 
 
Besides that the Jets are a much improved team this year.    The O-Line, the quarterback
 
 
I would take the Jets if I was going to play this game.     I have a feeling Thomas Jones is going to be a much bigger factor in this game than he was last year.      Just because the O-Line is better and you have the threat of the pass with Favre on the team now so the other teams can't stack the line.
 
 
And you can't underestimate the loss of a leader like Brady.    They Patriots are just not going to be as confident a team anymore especially in a tight game in the 4th quarter.     They are going to have Cassell trying to win the game for them at the end instead of Brady.    Cmon that is huge.   
 
 
Can't wait to watch this one.      We get all the Jets games on TV here in Wisconsin now.

farve goes for the big blowout for the hometown fans and ends up having everything blowup in his face.... though brady is/was a stud, he isn't the only stallion in that new england stable.. pats are still strong enough to beat even an above average team with just their def. and running game alone.. but oh wait, they also have moss who can catch just about anything "any" qb can toss up... pats win easily this weekend and vegas will adjust lines accordingly next weekend... take pats "getting" points because it will probably be the only time this season you see it.. gl all!!

I haven't read all of the comments but I think N.E.'s defense is going to be able to handle the Jets offense.

if they couldn't handle the giants in 2 games last year , what makes you think they will handle a Jets team that offensivly is equal to the giants???

Hells yeah! its fuking sweet!   In fact, I'd be pissed if we DIDNT get the Jets games!

with ya on the Jets -1, its stupid to bet the Patriots when you really don't know what your betting on.

Either take the Jets or don't play, imho.  If you want to take the Pats, your better off waiting till next week so you know what your getting yourself into.

Couldnt handle? they beat em the first game and the Giants needed a miracle drive to win the Super Bowl

KOAJ, couldn't have said it better myself.  I don't care how much talent they have, they haven't played enough under Matt Cassell to fully understand everything he does. 

Jets are pumped as shit about this game now, and I just don't see the Patriots coming away with a win.  Favre will do fine, but I really like the under as well.  Don't think the Jets will be able to run the ball against the Pats, and you know Favre is good for at least 1 interception.

I'm a Pats fan but I think they have no chance. The Pats were nothing special until Bledsoe went down and Brady stepped in. Belechick's coaching record was nothing special until Brady came along. I credit all of New England's success to Brady. The Jets crowd will be going bananas for Favre's home opener and Cassell will fold under the intense pressure. New England was lucky to even win at home against the sorry Chiefs. No way they win a road game against a decent team.

I would guess Belichick will do oposite what most of people think. He will be throwing the ball deep down the field a lot from beginning and see how it will play out.It will be a close game but the Patriots will find the way to win.

I think the Pats take this one...Cassell was suppose to be a star at USC and Matt Leinhart stole the spotlight right out from underneath him...this reminds you of a similar situation someone name Tom Brady fell into...Cassell has spent years being a back up and LEARNING...he has his once in a life time chance this weekend and i think he capitalizes against the jets.  The jets struggles to beat a mediocre dolphins team last week and IMO the patriots are 2 tds better than that dolphins team without brady...i guess we will see sunday! BOL to everyone regardless of who they pick!

Gonna be the most interesting Pats game to watch since... oh the Super Bowl... where this team has been...  and lost.  I'am expecting a very close game... So much has already been said about Brady not being the leader this year... This team is full of leaders, that's how you get to mutiple Super Bowls JETS FAN'S!!! Bring this Shit On!!!
