who were people supposed to vote for? mccain/palin ?
the problem is that america is fucked up. there is no wayto fix it. we are spending money faster than we can print it and our wanst have outgrown our needs. a good percentage of americans have reach the " american dream" and found it to suck....being upper middle class is nothing to be happy about like it was 30 years ago....
there is no solution to this complex problem that has been escalating for decades and involves so many things that there is really no good place to start (money/healthcare/welfare/housing/overpopulation/government etc)....
if everybody would take care of themselves and thier own family this country would be better off...
exactly! couldn't agree more... and what you have basically said here, is that we would be in the same exact situation regardless of who we had elected...
you are correct!
but guess how simple-minded people are? when our economy bounces back by 2011, and we are doing better, everyone will attribute that to Obama... even though it is just part of a normal cycle that financial analysts have been predicting for about 20 years...

The economy was this bad in '04? The country felt this unsafe in '04 The trade imbalance was this miserable? The dollar this weak? There was this level of terrorist threat? The president was more concerned about apologizing to the world? Bush made mistakes but this guy is either totally incompetent or insidious. I pick #2.
So you are saying that Mr. Obama didn't walk into all of these problems when he got elected, and that in the past year these problems arised? come on now
