Ok... I had originally felt that the JETS were going to lose this game being their second road game vs. the high powered SAINTS... But I am beginning to get swayed in the other direction having watched the SAINTS battle the BILLS...
The SAINTS did not in any way dominate that game. If the BILLS don't fumble a punt its a 7-7 game deep into it. The running yards they put up against a banged up BILLS D all came late into the game, they were stat inflaters and thats all, with the BILLS giving up on the last drive the SAINTS had for a TD. Yea they are 3-0 but cmon they BEAT the LIONS (But the LIONS DID move the football), They beat the MCNABBLESS EAGLES, AND struggled against a POORLY coached BILLS squad.
On the other hand the JETS have beaten some formidable competition. They COMPLETELY shut down a DYNAMIC TEXAN offense without any problems at all. They held the PATRIOTS (While BRADY wasnt at the top of his game) to basically NOTHING. The TITANS came in HUNGRY and the JETS got alot of LUCKY breaks but once that NASTY D put the CLAMPS on TENN couldn't move the BALL worth a lick.
Now this week we get the battle of the UNDEFEATEDS the BEST O vs IMO a top 3 D. I can guarantee you one thing MARQUES COLSTON will NOT CATCH more than 5 balls and will be held under 50 YARDS receiving for the game REVIS shut down MOSS and JOHNSON with ease and if you dont think he is a TOP 3 CB you are out of your mind. Now who are the JETS to fear mediocre receivers such as HENDERSON or MEACHEM I dont think so! SHOCKEY could pose somewhat of a threat but no TE has hurt the JETS yet this year and I expect that to continue. At the RB I have no doubt in my mind that NO will be held under 65 yds rushing for the game NONE of their backs scare me against this DEFENSE. With that being said for the JETS to win I believe LITO needs to play and hopefully STRICKLAND. The JETS will eat the clock up on OFFENSE they are really focusing on the running game this week in practice. I expect the JETS to have no problem moving the ball and to take STRATEGICALLY long DRIVES to keep MR. BREES on the sideline. LEON will have a huge game and if anyone expects SANCHEZ to start making HUGE MISTAKES against this SOFT SAINTS D you have got to be slightly SLOW. IF the JETS dominate T.O.P like I believe they will they will win this game SU and a team that everyone THOUGHT could possibly open up 0-4 will be 5-0 because there is NO CHANCE they lose to the DOLPHINS next week!
INITIAL LEAN JETS +7 and ML (IF LITO PLAYS)

I Think that the sloppy performance against Tennessee is going to help the Jets for this game. I originally thought that there wasnt a snowballs chance in hell that the jets would win. However, if the Jets can get any kind of run game established, its going to be a great game. Sanchez picked apart the Titans in the first quarter, and then they shut him down because the running game was non-existant. The saints have yet to really be tested. I'm not sure that the Jets can win this one strait up in the dome, but giving them 7 points is a bit much Imo.

I have the Jets capped at +3 1/2... My opinion, the books got the line wrong for the 4th strait week. This is my 4th strait week playing the Jets. None of the other lines this week jump out at me except the Bengals and the Ov/Un in the Bears game... Aside from these 3 games, no other action for me BOL

But 3 weeks should give enough info of film study and I think Gregg William (NO DC) will come up with a way to force Jets into making mistake once they are behind. Jet should be 2-1 right now if not for 2 foolish mistakes from a Tenn rookie, not to mention they played at home and did not do anything on Offense.
Defense wins championship.... TRUE.
But have you heard of the best defense is your offense? Saints O is unstoppable when it's clicking at home.
BTW, Saints running D is rank 5th (67 ypg).

Good capping thus far 4-0

Yes they got those gifts from Mouton in the Tennessee game, but the Jets offense is just productive. They managed to turn both of those turnovers into TDs. That is a very important quality of a good team. If they settle for FGs or dont get points in those situations they probably lose that game.
Turnovers can change momentum sooooo much in Football as long as you capitalize on them.

figgity07, nice write up. But one thing the Saints don't have this year is as you put it a soft d. The Saints have dominated there opponents so far. Yes Detroit was a joke. But going into Philly wasn't. Don't want to hear the eagles played without McNabb. Does McNabb play defense? No. Brees and the Saints offense ripped apart a good Philly defense. Then the soft Saints defense threw a shut out on the road against Buffallo. Winning back to back road games in the NFL is not easy no matter who you are facing. Has Sanchez faced a crowd like he will face on Sunday on the road? NO. If you really think Colston will be held to under 50 yards I'd take some action on that. Devery Henderson and Robert Meacham are both good receivers. Shocky is healthy and I think already has 4 td receptions. Then lets add Bush, Thomas to the mix. Yes the Jets have a good defense. Remember last week Brees did absolutly nothing and the Saints still won by 20. You believe Brees will have 2 bad weeks in a row? I don't. The addition of Darren Sharper who already has 4 int's and a healthy Vilma, not to mention both defensive ends are healthy in Grant and Will Smith. The Saints secondary is as solid as they have been in years. Roman Harper, Greer who was a free agent signing, Sharper and Porter have jelled early this year. Sanchez is a promising QB but he will make mistakes this weekend and the crowd will play a roll. Those running yards that you said were late in the game were deserved. The game was still in check in the 4th quarter and the Saints wore down Buffallo's defense. Again I'll take some action on the Saints running game being held to under 65 yards. We all know the Saints can score through the air on any defense in this league, add in the running game and I like the Saints chances to win this game and cover the spread. Hey this is what forums are for, we all add something to make our decisions before kick off. Jets are a solid team as are the Saints or they both wouldnt be 3-0 at this point. Should be a hard hitting, gut checking game. In the end it's SAINTS 27 Jets 17. Good luck on your play and again nice write up.

Ok,the jets won and covered last week, but was it the right choice if some things wouldnt of happened,i think the titans were the correct pick, now lets see saints played the bills and made them look not that good, bills almosts beat patriots at the fox, jets struggled in some ways against pats at home, common sense will prevail this week and the jets and there over-hyped,nothing to brag about qb will go down to the saints easily.SAINTS WIN IN A LAUGHER,and people who back this jet team, will show they need to go back to school when it comes to picking winners!

I also believe people from ny/nj would have a biased way of thinking when it comes to this game, even if you were picking the saints, and thats just common sense,so you jet capper pickers this week will learn a easy beginner lesson, stay away from home teams, but good luck with your picks, but it will not have a jet winner in the bag this week, care to bet a junior cheese cake on it?

1) The Bills offense did not SEE the Red zone 2) T.O had no receptions for the first time in almost 200 games 3) Pierre Thomas rushed for over 100 yards ( ONLY PLAYED THE 1ST HALF)
**ONLY TOUCHDOWN WAS OFF OF FAKE FIELD***

Is you stupid or dumb ??
The Saints didn't dominate ??

Jets are extremely banged up in the secondary...Might want to wait to see who plays or not...as it is, Brees could have a field day if most of the starting secondary is out for the Jets, especially in the Dome.

Jet D is great....shutting down people... Mark Sanchez is cool....can manage the game and make big plays...
I think you can use the above and make an arguement that NYJ will win every game all the way to Superbowl this year.
But, all you JETs backers seem to ignore the HOME team factor and treat it like nothing. To Brady or Manning then maybe it's nothing. Yes, I have doubt with a rookie QB winning on the road and bottom line is:
A GOOD OFFENSE IS THE BEST DEFENSE.

Your opinion now means
