JJ is great against mediocre talents. If he has to think, he (Watt) gets real Texas dumb.
I think this thread could easily be "Not so fast on the Texans"..
(1) Yes, the Pats don't have a stellar ATS record in the playoffs but at least they have consistently been in the playoffs. Since 2007, how many playoff games have Houston played in? THREE and that's counting last week's game! If you were electing a president of the US, would you vote for someone who's never been a politician in his/her life or would you vote for someone who's been there with a lot of experience?
(2) I agree that Brady has been really inconsistent in the playoffs as of late but I think we're missing the point here. Are the Texans playing Brady or are they playing the Patriots? Even, if Brady has an average, how are the Texans gonna beat the rest of the team?
Texans scored only 3 offensive TDs in their last 4 games. One passing TD and 2 rushing TDs. Pats ranked 9th against the run for the season so the Texans likely going to need either Shaub or TOs/Special Teams for help in the scoring the department. Pats led the league in TOs with a +25 so gonna need Shaub to help. Shaub who has thrown for 1 TD in his last 4 games.
Yes, Texans may limit Brady, but if they can't score themselves, how are they gonna win? Houston and NE are dead even in allowing 20.7 pts/game and 38 TDs each for the season.
(3) Red zone - Offensively: Pats are 95% efficient in scoring in the red zone with a 73/27 td/fg ratio. Texans are at a 93% efficiency rate with a 60/40 td/g ratio. Point is Texans can't win just field goals in this one.
Rather than focus on Brady and the Pats history, maybe you should focus on the Texans and figure out how they gonna win even if we assume the Pats have an average day. Don't say Foster cuz that's lame ... do you think Belicheck and the rest of the world know that?
Btw, I think Pats "not cheating" would still be > than Texans "were allowed to cheat". It's about the capabilities of the team.
