GMEN to the bizank
Totally useless stat - all streaks will be broken at some point, Giants are third 9-7 to get to SB, time is now for it to happen. Hell, someday an 8-8 team may win the SB, then they will change the playoff system.

The two 9-7 teams that made it to the SB were the 1979 Rams (who lost to Steelers 31-19) and the 2008 Cardinals (who also lost to Steelers 27-23). I am not a Giants fan, but really this doesn't seem like a 9-7 team, does it?

The 1979 Rams led at halftime and led entering the 4th quarter, and 2008 Zona led late in the game with a last minute drive for a TD by Big Ben and the Steelers, and all this dispite a 99 yard pick-six thrown by Warner on the last play of the 1st half with a fluke ending when the player was tackle but fell on another player so he did not hit the ground and rolled over him to score the TD.
And a 9-7 team still almost won the game.
