early on you are simply going to see me backing veterans that are in a new situation. this doesnt apply to all, but it applies to this one. im not going to sit here and act like were about to get the old russ back but i think with him in a new environment, a different coaching style that i think suites him more than pittsburgh did, and some shiny new toys.. i think russell can be a tad above serviceable.

i think this giants defense is going to sneak up on people. and with me expecting regression from the crazy year the redskins had last season, i think the giants can come in on the road and do enough to make this game interesting to say the least.

it also applies to this one. backing the veteran in a very new situation. i might get flamed for this pick but its fine cause we all know daniel jones can be very.. suspect. but i think him winning the starting job was the right move by far. hes got a budding star at RB in taylor and i think steichen is gonna know how to put daniel jones in winning opportunities. feels like mike lost his locker room and is on the hot seat and week 1 hasnt even started yet. i simply dont want my money on that side.

colts defense is better on all 3 levels imo. anyone will be weary when tyreek hill and waddle is on the other side but dolphins on the road with a banged up RB room, a tight end that hasnt touched a field in a few years and a QB thats 1 tackle away from concussion.. i think colts show up and secure a 1-0 record at home.

feels very on brand for the lions to lose this game. Expecting a big year from jordan love and this slightly upgraded packer defense. I think Detroit drank way too much kool aid in the recent years. Packers do enough for the home win and cover

im not fading Josh Allen in Buffalo. Just not happening. I’m not gonna pretend to have some profound edge in this one I’m just rocking with Josh at home. I think he will be the overall better QB in this one and does enough to secure a home W.

ben jonhson can call all the fire plays he wants but if your QB can’t execute it properly then what’s the use? I’m not as high on Caleb as most are. I don’t trust his decision making especially under pressure cause that’s all he’s gonna be under with Brian flores dialing up different looks each possession. I think this Caleb x Ben Johnson experiment will take more time. 

If it’s any HC we should be talking about it’s Kevin O’Connell. Dude is a QB whisperer. It’s no coincidence that every QB that comes through minny ends up having a great year. People forget jj McCarthy is a national champion lol the kid knows how to win. He has the best WR in the NFL, serviceable RB room, and great staff behind him. Him sitting a year will prolly bode well for him too. Vikings win this game on the road
