Right now line is Seattle +3 (-115) at my book. I'd tend to want to let this ride but a good backup bet to me would be to take that bet for $1100.
Either win 11,000 and lose $1100 or break even. It's a tough call either way but you'll really hate yourself if that idiot Pete Carroll picks your pocket and you get skunked completely.

DON'T LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE THAT SAY NOT TO HEDGE. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Obviously you feel you have a winner because you picked the side, but it is the NFL AMD ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.
You would rather be safe then screw yourself. Every time I am in this situation I hedge, and almost every time the side I picked originally was correct. IT DOESN'T MATTER THO.
I would say Seattle plus points or money line for at least 20 percent . Points shouldn't matter in this game tho.

Seattle comes in with Longwell kicking...38 years old who hasn't kicked all year. He missed 6 FG last year, but then again he is a 83.2% career kicker. To put that into perspective, Adam Vinatieri is a 82.6% career kicker. Also, the loss of Chris Clemons is huge...the leading pass rusher for Seattle is out with his knee injury. Seattle's road games this season? 3-5...the wins? At Carolina 16-12, At Chicago 23-17, at Buffalo, which was really in Toronto anyways, so not really a "home" game for the Bills, 50-17. Other than that, they have lost AT Miami, Detroit, SF, St. Louis, and Arizona. Granted, they have won 5 games in a row, but vs. the Bears, Cardinals, SF, and Rams. One of those games is impressive. On the other side, the Falcons have a 33-6 record at home with Matt Ryan as their starting quarterback...so if they can contain Wilson and Lynch, then when they have the ball, establish the run with a combination of Turner and Rodgers, then in turn stretch the field with both White and Jones, it should open up the underneath passing game to guys like Douglas and Gonzalez. Much like in Baltimore with Ray Lewis calling it a career, Tony Gonzalez still plans to retire at the end of the year. https://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000124966/article/tony-gonzalez-still-plans-to-retire-from-atlanta-falcons
It's just been a lot quieter. This is a man who is a sure-fire HOFer, who can put his team on his back in the underneath passing game and in the red zone. If his D holds up under Samuel and deCloud, etc, I think ATL wins 27-17.

Don't hedge, if you think ATL will beat SEA handily.

I put this in yesterday (unposted of course, bc everything good comes unposted) Question is...how do I hedge? Seattle ML? I'm getting Seattle +3 but -120 now...do you think that the line will drop? Go up? What would you do? Thanks.
I say this all the time but I guess I will say it again. Why would you want to hedge on a bet that you are getting 10 to 1 odds on when anyone else who wants ATL moneyline has to lay-150? When you made the bet, this is exactly where you wanted to be,you are plus 10-1 on a favorite. People think hedging makes them money, all hedging does is reduce your profit. With that said, you should be betting these games as straight bets and not parlays. Parlays are a poor mans sucker bet. Win or lose this bet, hedging is a terrible idea. I know most will fight me on this, but people that truly know how to make money in sports gambling will tell you not to hedge and more importantly not to bet parlays. You would have a chance to make more money by betting your original $1000 and rolling it over onto the other games. Figure it out and you will see that the parlay doesn't pay the true odds and you do not maximize on what you could have won by risking only your original $1000.

No offense but that is the dumbest shhit I ever read on hear. Not maximizing your profits on a winning bet "doesn"t matter". Wow,this is the type of reasoning that gets books and casinos paid.Let me guess, you are also the guy who bets a baseball team -225 and says "the line doesn't matter if I win". JESUS help this guy.

You are in a great position. Not often when you are guaranteed to make a profit. Why not take Seattle +3 for $4K? Atlanta wins by 1-3 you are golden. Atlanta blows them out you still win a nice chunk. Seattle wins outright you still net $3K.
Hedge and enjoy a few cocktails and your only worry is how much you win.

Think of it this way and maybe you will see what a great position you are in. If we were in Vegas and you had that ticket,I would buy it from you for $5000. Any smart gambler would love to get 2 to 1 odds on a -150 favorite, you are getting 11 to 1 odds. Win or lose you are nuts if you hedge. You were willing to lose 1000 when you made the bet,now with the great spot you are in,why would you ever think of hedging it?

I can see Falcons winning by 1 or 2 to phuck the gamblers. Nice middle for ya.
I haven't been posting since baseball. Good thing. Had a losing streak for weeks like no other from August 20-November 1. Like a 20-45 streak. I rode it out though. Been doing great since. But that was tough. Not a lot of sleep.

This is true. Another wrinkle to this story. I have the Seahawks to win the SB 250/3000...and the Falcons to win the SB (before the season) 100/2200

i believe u always hedge if its a nice payout like this i get where silenceall is coming from but the casinos actually would rather u not hedge. they love when people put down 5-7 teams and end up losing on the last one. it happens so often. they do not like giving u guaranteed money because of the hedge. i would personally take seattle ml for 2000 or wait for the live bet. just make sure u get some money in your pocket bro

The only and I mean ONLY issue with waiting is if Seattle scores first, then chances are the line would be -2.5 if they hit a FG, and -5.5 or so if they score a TD to go up 7-0. Then I'd need ATL to comeback, tie or take the lead, in order to get the live line at something where I'm not in a position to LOSE both.
