Not that it matters, but it&#x27;s funny that there is no rule about coaching 2 different teams during the same season. It just seems wrong..I don&#x27;t ever remember seeing it before either. I think McDaniels will be a good coordinator, but should not be allowed to even be present in the coaches box until next season..

It has to be strange even for you guys as Patriots fans..Obviously he is close with Belichick, but the guy was a coordinator for a different team the whole season. I don't think it has a drastic effect on the outcome of a game, it's just weird and should not be allowed..

there is a rule in place for head coaches, but not co-ordinators. I think that will change very soon. Shouldn&#x27;t be allowed to switch like that in the same season, not that it mattered tonight.

He was coaching for the Rams this season. He coached Denver last year. And he was, in fact, there during Tebows rookie season.

&#xD;&#xA;&#xD;&#xA;Agreed. Shouldn&#x27;t happen but I truely don&#x27;t think there was a real advantage for NE in bringing him in for JUST for this game. He is there for the bigger picture.

why shouldnt it be allowed? NE is losing there O coordinator to a shit ass college school... so why can they brin a new guy in to get accustomed (or reaccustomed) to the protocol. In theory, O'brien could have left to go take over his new job (attempt to deal with that mess)... he didnt.

It has happened in the past, asst coaches leaving before the season is over to tackel their new jobs. I dont understand why everybody is up in arms, I am a giant fan, but can somebody please break this down why it is so bad that Josh is back.

Its not like its the yankees buying players left and right before the playoffs...
