he needs to give up the GM duties and finally let someone run the front office.
Jerry wins on this one! He absolutely will win on this one.
Clark is a fantastic player
2 first round picks
and you traded a guy who only plays 10-11 games a year. He can’t stop the run because he over pursued to do one thing. Get the QB. This will cost the Packers immensely. He’s not the player that is worth what you gave up.

All edge rushers are being vastly overpaid...it started with the Garrett signing...then Watt...how many edge rushers brought their team a Superbowl?
The two Watt brothers were virtually non-existent in their playoff games. Parsons is soft as a marshmallow against the run and when teams run straight at him, he is non-existent as well.
This use of the loser Browns' pay-scale is insane.
So the one time that Jerry Jones doesn't overpay, he is a POS...a great move by him at long last!!!

He doesn’t need team to win to still make money. He wants to be the story. They have 4 1st round picks next 2 years, he will still be one picking them.

As a guy who knows football, and a life long Cowboys fane, you're not wrong. Micah may go on to Green Bay and cement himself as a generational talent, but he is one dimensional. And edge rushers just don't make or break a championship team.
Coming out of Penn St, and in his first season in Dallas, Micah showed promise as a complete linebacker. He would do some coverage stuff. He was more involved as a run stopper. I thought he had the potential to be their middle linebacker of the future. The thing is, middles aren't as valued as they once were. And sacks put butts in the seats. He became an every down pass rusher. And in my opinion, he is undersized to be an every down pass rusher. I feel this is why he fades in the second half of the season. Taking on 6'6 340lb defensive ends, taking on double teams, constantly being held, it takes it's toll. To his credit, he still gets his sacks and pressures but his tackles/solo tackles have seen a steep drop since his rookie season.
Giving Micah 47 million would be a bad look for this team. He doesn't put them over the top. Maybe he puts Green Bay over.

I would also say that TJ Watt is more of a complete defender than Micah. Better run stopper. Better in coverage. TJ is who Micah should've modeled his game after. Not Myles Garrett, who is just a bigger guy. And frankly, smaller edge rusher/OLB types do better in more of s 3-4 than a 4-3. I know defensive fronts are somewhat ambiguous in today's NFL but from a personnel standpoint, when you have a big nose tackle, and two big 3 tech types at that 3-4 end role, it allows the edge rushers, now outside linebackers, more opportunity to work in space and create one on one opportunities. Sometimes even free rushes. The Cowboys were build horribly from a personnel standpoint. The tackle position has been non-existent. Osa has been solid as theb3 tech but drafting Mazi as the nose was a bust. Then Dan Quinn had him losing weight. Couple that with undersized defensive ends (Micah, Tank Lawrence, Dante Fowler, etc) who aren't great against the run, and safety hybrids at linebacker and teams are gonna run it down your throat.
