The Chicago bears deserve the respect that you failed to give them before this game started. ![]()
I'll say just this.
All the Nick Sirianni critics, yes I get it.
All the Kevin Patullo criticism is also deserved.
But when a team works a Vic Fangio defense the way they did, that deserves a hand shake at the very least. Vic has been keeping this team afloat and will need some help from the offense eventually. Give his unit a breather or 2 at some point.

Yes the bears for as long as I can remember have always been defensive minded first and foremost and you are correct Sac that if we can work on the offense without Caleb making any ill advised decisions and using some rollouts and his feet with accurate passing and a solid running game as they showed today then.....we just may see some very interesting advancement and developing progress moving forward with our/these Chicago Bears.![]()

The only real area the Bears outplay opps is TO battle.
8 To's to 24 created for a very strong +16 coming into the Eagles game.
Then winning TO's by 2 to 1 VS Eagles.
But the Bears who have not been good in other areas, just ripped the Eagles apart in those other areas.
Something like 28 to 14 1st downs, outgained Eagles by over 100 yards, out-rushed Eagles by close to 200 yards pounding them on the ground.
That was pretty impressive.
But passing game was not good a measly 3.8 yds per pass attempt to 6.8 for Eagles that is a huge edge for Eagles.
If the Bears continue getting outplayed in those other areas and only winning mostly the TO battle I doubt they'll do well in the playoffs.
I've been down this road many times over the years with teams playing like the Bears.
I've seen teams continue doing well in the regular season playing like the Bears but it doesn't end well for them.
The key to look for is when non- believers stop wanting to bet against them and/or start wanting to bet on them.

Thanks for the post claw and you are correct the bears or anyone like the bears can NOT be one dimensional and do need to be good on both sides of the ball and for that to happen their offense most definitely needs improvement and can not rely on the running game alone.
Should be interesting to see how they fare with Green Bay for two games Detroit and frisco for one each and Cleveland which hopefully the majority of these games get put in the win column for seeding purposes.
Did not play on this game and though I'm shocked with the outcome I'm very pleased with what I saw from them today.
Good luck on your plays this weekend Claw and as always thanks for always bringing what you bring to the forum. ![]()
