How did that 1st half Fumble not belong to the Pats

Wow this is quite a first post for you big guy. I can barely get your hatred for Belichick and the pats through your words.

Relax first of all. He wouldnt have had to challenge the play if it was called correctly on the filed by the refs (one of many blown by them). It wasnt cheating and you are an idiot for thinking so. The right call was made after the challenge so quit whinning and start worrying about making real legit comments. I sure hope post #2 makes more sense than #1.

Ya he rolled over and left the ball vulnerable to be strippede but the ball never moved. Much like a receiver hitting the ground with possesion.

All i am saying is i'd love to hear the NFL explain this ruling as most (non biased and educated) football fans were left very confused how that was a NYG ball.

Also, you even said it yourself.  They initially said it, before they saw the replay.  The replay clearly shows the Patriots never had complete control, that is why they backed off their initial statement.

I never said they are the best judge of a correct call. I just used that example to show that everyone was shocked to see the refs giving the ball back to NYG.

And your comment that it "clearly shows he never had possesion is crazy". He had full possesion on the ground before Bradshaw even touches him. Oh and when did the announcers ever back off their comments. Did you even watch/listen to the game. They were as confused as the rest of the world (minus NYG fans/supporters..who for obvious reasons are biased). They just accepted the ref's call and moved on to show numerous clips of Peyton watching the game.

Ya the Pats lost but i just dont understand that play. If that happened to another team on the 1st week of the season i'd still write this post. The call didnt make sense in terms of the correct rules.

He had his arms around the ball laying on the ground (which does constitute possesion). The Bradshaw grabbed it from the exposed side. No different than if a receiver had a ball ripped from his arm(s). Onyl difference is in this case the player was laying on the ground and the play should have been blown dead when bradshaw made contact with the Pats LB.

Hey u have no argument with me that the refs called what they saw or thought they saw. But i disagree that thios wouldnt have been overturned. I think there was lots of evidence to dispute that. And if it was a 50/50 call (which i think is generious to the NYG) then it was still worth a challenge as that would have given Brady and Co. the ball at the 31.

I know because i watched the replays. Some of the replays are vague but one of the views from the sidelince clearly shows him on the ball. You can see him laying on the ball and then you see bradshaw come from the side and grabs it and pulls it out.

Oh and the answer to your question is a split second. All he has to do is the ball and for it to stop moving in his hands and thats possesion. This isnt rocket science. Because he is on the ground he doesnt need to make a football move or anything either.

You are an idiot. This thread has nothing to do with playing until the whistle. The fact that bradshaw stole the ball back is not the issue. That was clear. What is at issue is that the play should have been blown dead when bradshaw first contacted the Patriots LB as he had possesion and was on the ground.

You criticize loads of people that saw the replay as a Pats fumble recovery but ignore the fact that maybe you were too busy crying about the packers NFC Champuionship loss to get a real look at the replay. The fact that you didnt even see the replay we are talking about just shows you dont know what u are talking about.

since when is ignoring NFL rules okay. If your team was on the Pats side of this you would be all over the refs so dont make stupid comments like this when it isnt true. What next...Allow WR contact all over the field. Or how about we allow head shots now because in the heat of the moment (like in the pile) guys will do anything to win. HAHAHAH. Give me a break.
